I lift less than 100 lbs for my lower body, but yet I’ve been able to sculpt and grow my glutes exactly how I want 🍑

After lifting heavy for several years (and trying to hit 1-3 rep maxes), I realized those workouts just weren’t working for me…

My body hurt, I couldn’t engage my muscles the way I wanted, and I was bored 😑

It wasn’t until I designed my own signature style of training that I started to see SERIOUS results…

Not just in my physique, but also in the way my mind and body felt during each workout.

… but BABES,

My life has literally been set up to make staying in shape and exercising EASY.

It’s the busy moms, the corporate babes, the women who struggle with chronic pain or tough genetics that I admire…

So just a reminder to not compare your body, your progress OR your worth to me or to anyone else.

You are on your own journey, and as long as you show up a little bit more every day - THAT is what counts. The only person you should compare yourself to is who you were a week, a month, a year ago.

🚨SAVE THIS WORKOUT FOR LATER! Details below:

Set a timer for 20 minutes and perform each exercise for 50 secs. Rest 10 secs between each movement. Repeat 4 rounds until 20 minutes is complete.

Beginner version: performed 3 rounds and rest one minute between each set

For the lateral lunges switch at the halfway mark.

This is all you need to kick off your Monday! Save this and get it in this week. No excuses, no matter how busy you are.

This is what less than 100 grams of protein a day looks like on my body 👇🏽

But before you come for me, hear me out -

I haven’t eaten meat in over 20 years. I lived on a sailboat for 3 years and now I live in Colombia.

High protein alternatives (cottage cheese, tempeh, etc) aren’t always easy to come by. And shockingly, I don’t want to eat fish at every single meal lol.

It didn’t really occur to me how crazy people were becoming until IG started showing me people eating cans of tuna before bed JUST to hit their macros 😅

I lift 5 days a week, train hard, and have tons of energy - not getting 100g+ of protein never been an issue for me.

But all this is not to say that protein doesn’t matter... I prioritize it at every meal. Just in smaller quantities.

But if you’re just starting out and eating more protein is already new to you, obsessing over hitting 130+ grams is going to feel overwhelming. And overwhelming leads to quitting 😕

Real changes come from training consistently, sleeping well, and taking care of your body. Protein is one piece of it, not the whole puzzle.

Get in your protein 💪🏽 But stop letting perfection get in the way of progress.

My mom and my best friend all wrapped up in a 5’2 ft British package 🥹❤️

I left home shortly after I turned 18, and for the last 15 years I’ve seen her 1-2 times a year during the holidays.

The fact that she NEVER put pressure on me to come home more, ALWAYS encouraged me to travel and live out my life, and CONSTANTLY cheered on every career move I made, is the most love and support that I could possibly ask for.

At 69 years of age she is some how the strongest, social and most energetic version of herself.

She could add a bit more butter to her cookies, and I would have loved a few more ice cream nights as a kid, but I know 100% I am the healthiest version of myself today because of her 🩵💙

Glad we got this week together. Every waking (and sleeping) moment spent together, so many stories, and companionable silence. Love love love you mom

I know ‘NO EXCUSES 😤’ can be a very conflicting phrase, (especially in the fitness space), but sometimes you just gotta be proud of those moments you show up for yourself.

“No excuses” is how I cleaned up my diet, started running twice a week (even though I hated it), and dropping the excess fat I gained over the summer.

“No excuses” it what got me living out an adventure on my sailboat, waking up in freezing cold temperatures, taking freezing cold showers, and STILL going to bed satisfied.

As we slowly move into winter, it is so much easier to find and make those excuses for ourselves…

❌ Don’t want to go for a run.
❌ Don’t want to wake up early to workout
❌ Don’t want to drive to the gym in a cold car.

I GET IT. And you’re allowed to give into those feelings because they’re valid and real.

👉🏽 But sometimes, giving yourself the “no excuses” pep talk is what will get you over that roadblock and moving forward.
