Love Lazers

Love Lazers started in 2015 in the moment when a handful of people in Berlin, Bogota and Zurich had began a nightlife scene in which Electronic music was its day. These people are diverse; some had careers within medicine and law, some live in serodiscordant partnerships and some were schooled entirely by life. Since long, some are now working in the fields of Aids activism and drug politics. We s

ee our assignment in spreading information on new forms of safer sex and drug use/consumption – and giving statements concerning stigmas and emancipation. All that is based on a collective self-organized and activist-led perspective. Trying to make the content accessible to everyone is therefore a matter of course. So find our info online and in our printed flyers available in six languages. We have published the first extended information about “Undetectable” and the use of PrEP in German and the discussion that started as a result has had a decisive influence of PrEP usage in countries which we are active. Recently we’ve contributed to the Berlin based exhibition “Hypermasculinity Poetry” and have published a condom update “The condom and its acid test durability”. We are well connected. As an independent initiative, we are neither an institution, connected to one, nor do we get public promotion, though. If you want to participate, don’t hesitate to contact us. We collaborate with the project “701 anyway – HIV prevention today”, combining fashion design and new knowledge around Safer Sex. We work together with photographers from Chicago, Paris, Bogotá and Berlin and Düsseldorf.

Love Lazers gibt es seit 2015. Das sind im Moment eine Handvoll Leute in Berlin, Bogotá und Zürich, die im elektronischen Tag- und Nachtleben unterwegs sind. Sie leben teils in schwulen, diskordanten Partnerschaften (hiv+ und -) und sind soziologisch, medizinisch, juristisch und lebenspraktisch ausgebildet. Einige sind seit langem Aids-aktivistisch und drogenpolitisch tätig. Wir sehen unseren Auftrag darin, Informationen zu neuen Formen von Safer Sex, Safer Use bei Drogenkonsum sowie Beiträge zu Stigma und Emanzipation aus einer selbst-organisierten, aktivistischen Perspektive zugänglich zu machen. So finden sich unsere Info-Texte in bald sechs Sprachen online und in gedruckten Flyern. Wir haben die ersten umfangreichen Infos zu “Undetectable” und zu PrEP in deutscher Sprache veröffentlicht und die Diskussion dazu hierzulande maßgeblich mitbestimmt. Jüngst haben wir an der Berliner Ausstellung “Hypermasculinity Poetry” mitgewirkt und ein Kondom-Update “Das Gummi vor der Zerreißprobe” publiziert. Seit 2018 gibt es Love Lazers Colombia. Als Initiative gehören wir weder einer Institution oder einem Verein an, noch bekommen wir öffentliche Förderung. Wenn Du Lust hast, kannst Du bei uns mitmachen.
