Our Roots Are Our Stability
The trees have been some of my greatest teachers.
After years of dieting trees in the Amazon and forming alliances with them, I was gifted a name from nature as a Palero—one who works closely with the wisdom and spirit of the trees. Through these relationships, I came to understand something profound about our own nature.
Even during periods when my connection to other plant medicines, such as Ayahuasca, became quieter, the trees remained. They offered strength, perseverance, stability, and a reflection of what it means to truly embody one’s nature.
Trees live in relationship with all of life. Through vast underground networks, they communicate with one another across great distances, sharing resources and signals of support. Yet they do not uproot themselves and move elsewhere in search of connection. They remain rooted, adapting to changing conditions through time. They provide shelter, nourishment, beauty, and resilience.
As someone who has lived much of my life as a nomad, moving from place to place, seeking community, purpose, and belonging, I found balance through my alliances with the trees. They embody the polarity I was unconsciously searching for.
While my life has often been one of movement, exploration, and flow, the trees offer rootedness, protection, and strengthening. Their medicine reminds me that my essence can move like water while my being remains rooted like a tree.
This is the paradox of life.
We are both movement and stillness.
Both water and earth.
Both freedom and commitment.
Both expansion and rootedness.
The journey of every healer, teacher, and human being is to discover how these seeming opposites can coexist within us.
Many of the struggles we experience arise when we identify with one side of a polarity and reject the other. Yet our higher nature emerges when we learn to embrace both.
Certain medicines help illuminate where we sit within these polarities. They guide us toward the relationships—whether with people, plants, animals, nature, or spirit—that help restore balance. Through these relationships we come back to center, where the voice of the soul can be heard more clearly.
If you are seeking to understand the polarities shaping your life and the paradox you are being called to embody, I offer Embodied Sovereignty Clarity Sessions, designed to help illuminate the underlying patterns, identities, and relationships influencing your path.

We also offer retreat immersions working with Kambo, Ayahuasca, and Huachuma. These medicines themselves carry polarities—the cleansing power of water and the transformative force of fire—and invite us into a deeper relationship with both.
Following our Solstice Ceremony in June, our next retreat gathering in Costa Rica will take place July 23rd–26th, 2026.
Within this retreat, we will gather for a special Huachuma Ceremony on July 25th, the Day Out of Time, stepping beyond ordinary time and into the timeless nature of the soul as we welcome the beginning of a new Galactic Year.

Perhaps the question is not whether you are rooted or flowing.
Perhaps it is how life is inviting you to become both.
