it possible to carry out foot care during the lockdowns? Yes, if the treatment is medical, therapeutic or nurturing as in personal hygiene, foot care is permitted. But footcare therapists and podiatrists have to create a hygiene and safety concept. The mask requirement applies. After my apprenticeship as a podiatrist in 2008, I took several refresher courses at Ruck foot Akademie with regular intensive theory lessons and many models, etc practical work. I could take part in anything, learn something new and implement it in Mainz. For years I have been very careful with my customers when they are diabetic. It is about carefully shortening the nails and removing excessive calluses so that the customer does not have any further problems when she herself goes or presses nails in the shoe for too long. Calluses form again and again if you have a deformity or simply have very dry foot skin. The tasks in my job are to level and file over thickened nails, to remove h***y calluses carefully and not too much, to remove scalpel technique, medi tool device , to place various tamponades, to attain confort for nails, to remove out rough and extra scaly looking skin on feet. I advice on wesring foot pressure protection. I also recommend my clients what cream is the right one by choosing suitable foot cream as protection for my customers skin. For the nails, I recommend applying nail oil to the nails every day before applying cream. Our feet carry us all our lives for that we have to do something good with our feet. Rinse the feet well just before coming out of the shower because soap residue and our feet are still on and the feet dry out very much. Even a foot bath after a long day at work is good for your feet.
