Healing doesn’t mean you’ll never be triggered again.
It means you’ll begin to recognize the trigger before it takes over. You’ll notice what’s happening in your body, your mind, and your emotions with greater awareness.
Our nervous system is shaped by past experiences. Sometimes it reacts to old wounds as if they are happening in the present moment. Healing is learning to pause, acknowledge that response with compassion, and remember that the past doesn’t have to dictate the present.
The trigger may not be your choice, but your response can become one.
Healing isn’t about becoming someone who never struggles. It’s about becoming someone who responds with more awareness, self-compassion, and intention one moment at a time. 🤍
