Today we celebrate World Heart Day 💙

What does research from ETCMA tell us about acupuncture and cardiovascular health?

Research conducted by the ETCMA research team has reviewed the evidence on the potential role of acupuncture in cardiovascular care, including:

💙 Hypertension 💙 Angina 💙 Atrial fibrillation 💙 Heart failure

The research highlights evidence suggesting that acupuncture may have a complementary role alongside conventional cardiovascular care, with studies reporting potential benefits in areas such as blood pressure, symptoms and cardiovascular function.

Importantly, acupuncture is considered here as a complement to standard medical care, rather than a replacement for medication or other conventional treatments.

This World Heart Day, we’re highlighting the research exploring how acupuncture may contribute to a more integrative approach to cardiovascular health.
