🩵 This morning, Spangdahlem SAPR made some noise over at AFN. The team stopped by to spread the word about Denim Day, the resources available through our SAPR program, and what our program is all about.
Awareness doesn’t stop at the gate — it takes all of us to build a culture of prevention and support.🩵

🇺🇸 What an incredible honor! Our Spangdahlem SARC and our Army SHARP partners joined forces with our amazing SAPR VVA, MSgt Waring, at NATO Headquarters in Brussels to promote Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month! 🌟

Our Warriors showed up bringing awareness, passion, and purpose to one of the most important missions we carry: taking care of each other. 💙

Thank you to every single person who made this happen and to our incredible SAPR VVA family for your continued dedication and advocacy. Together we are STRONGER. 💪

🩵DENIM DAY 2025🩵

Why Denim? Why Now?
Denim Day was created after a 1990s court ruling in Italy where a sexual assault conviction was overturned because the victim wore tight jeans.

The court claimed she must have “helped” remove them — a decision that sparked outrage and activism worldwide.

Today, we wear denim on the last Wednesday of April to stand against victim blaming and to show solidarity with survivors of sexual violence.

Join us on Wednesday, April 30, 2025!

Wear your jeans with a purpose and visit the Exchange Hall between 1100–1300 to capture your support on our 360° camera.

Together, we say: It’s never the victim’s fault.

The elementary school’s Purple Up Parade is happening today at 1340. Come out and cheer on the children!

It's a busy week for the base, but please remember that FRIDAY at 1340, the elementary school will be having its Purple Up Parade! Please come and line the walkways and hallways to cheer on our amazing kids. Extra points for noisemakers and signs!
