This photo meant a lot to her.

Her daughter was only six weeks old, and after days of colic, this was the first time she saw her completely calm and relaxed.

Later, she sent me the photo and asked me to turn that moment into a line art design.

When she received it, she wrote:
“I recognize my daughter and the love between us.”

And some time later, she sent me another photo — this time of the tattoo.

I think that’s what makes these projects special.
Not because they are perfect photos, but because sometimes a very ordinary-looking moment can carry a lot of meaning for one person.

She knew from the start that she wanted two.

One portrait of just her and her baby.
One of all three of them.

She sent us several photos to choose from, and these became the final two artworks.

Her reaction when she saw them:
“Guau!!!! It’s wonderful i love them! ❤️”

Sometimes one photo simply isn’t the whole request.

This is their very first photo as a family.

Their daughter had been born with serious complications. She wasn’t breathing and was transferred to another hospital almost immediately. Her mum wasn’t able to hold her until nearly 24 hours later — and even then, only for short moments.

She spent one week in intensive care, followed by another week in a hospital specializing in blood disorders. Her first year was incredibly difficult.

At the time this photo was taken, they had no idea what was still ahead of them.

Almost three years later, her mum asked me to turn that first family photo into line art.

And when I sent the finished piece, her answer was simply:

“I love it ❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍”

She told us this photo feels even more special to her now.

She never planned on raising her son alone. But life changed, and this picture became a reminder of something much bigger than one moment — how precious he is to her, and how precious life can be.

Years later, he’s grown so much. But when you look at the old photo, you can still see the same bond between them.

We turned that moment into line art, and later she wrote to tell us she had printed it and framed it in her home.

I love knowing that this little memory now has a place there with them.

Story #120: Marley 🤍

Marley was her first dog.
She got him at a time when her health wasn’t good, and that’s why they shared such a special bond. He was her best friend. The one she lovingly called Bubi.

He passed away in 2024, but some connections don’t really leave us.
She chose this photo of him: happy, bright, looking right at her, and asked us to turn that memory into a line she could keep close.

Later, she sent us a photo of the tattoo and told us she loved it.
And honestly, that part always means a lot.
