Dear friends and acroyoga4all network...
I have received a grant from BUPL's research department to research how to use acroyoga as an educational tool to support children and young people's development!
Do you know anyone how did or do research about acroyoga?
I would love to read it to get some inspiration and get started. Please write a comment below, if so. Thanks.
Love and light
Tatjana
Here you can read a short intro to the research project:
AIM: The purpose is to create new knowledge from practice to inspiration for professionals. The project is based on acroyoga in FCYN.
WHERE: The project will take place in FCYN, Fritidscenter Ydre Nørrebro, in Copenhagen Denmark.
HOW: There will be 2 weekly workshops for children and young people in FCYN, with themes about trust, cooperation and community. 1 day a week, Tatjana will explore, read and work on the project, including interviewing the children and making films with the children about their experiences with acroyoga. Family akroyoga workshops will also be held where parents can join their children in the club.
The children and young people will be involved partly in practicing acroyoga, and partly in communicating their experiences. 4 short films will be made about the project, which will be made together with the children and young people.
WHO; Tatjana t’Felt is an experienced acroyoga teacher and is employed by FCYN.
Helle Winther from the Department of Sports at the University of Copenhagen will be the supervisor and consultant / supervisor on the project.
FCYN is a leisure center with a strong focus on sports and movement. FCYN has a long tradition of using sports in its work with children and young people and the center has previously been responsible for the Sports Playground in Nørrebro. www.fcyn.dk
