Microperimetry Nidek MP3 can detect subtle central field changes due to plaquenil maculopathy which may not be detected by macular field testing. The low central foveal threshold (relative scotoma) is an indicator of maculopathy.

: Microperimetry Indications

Fundus Driven Perimetry provides a quantifiable way to measure the regression or progression of retinal visual function.

This test can be used for the following indications:
Unsatisfactory vision after uneventful cataract surgery
AMD
Visual function assessment after antiVEGF treatment, in Geographic atrophy and Drusen
Functional follow-up after DME treatment and macular edema
Advanced glaucoma
Visual rehabilitation through training to see by the PRL (Preferred Retinal Locus)
Functional evaluation in chronic CSR ■ Training in anisometropic amblyopia
