A motor point is a specific location on a muscle where a motor nerve enters the muscle belly.

At this spot:

The nerve fibers branch out and connect with many muscle fibers.

Electrical stimulation requires the least amount of current to produce a visible contraction.

That’s why motor points are used in therapies like neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES), functional electrical stimulation (FES), and in certain diagnostic tests.

Neuromuscular Scoliosis is associated with disorders of the nerve and muscular systems, such as cerebral palsy, spina bifida, spinal cord injury, muscular dystrophy, and polio. It accounts for 5%–7% of childhood scoliosis.

Unlike Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis (AIS), the underlying cause of Neuromuscular Scoliosis is clear: it arises from either a lack of spinal and trunk muscular control or, alternatively, spasticity of those same muscles.

Although the Schroth Method was originally designed for individuals with AIS, the program can be adapted for those with Neuromuscular Scoliosis. The adaptations will vary depending on each child's abilities, and the length of treatment will be adjusted accordingly.

The goals of the Schroth Method for those with Neuromuscular Scoliosis include seating system evaluations and recommendations and strengthening the trunk muscles (if possible).

It’s important to note that the Schroth Method has limitations for those with Neuromuscular Scoliosis and that bracing and/or surgery may often be recommended instead. We work closely with local scoliosis physicians to ensure each patient receives the most appropriate treatment. #علاجطبيعي #تأهيل

امتى استخدم SLR وامتى استخدم Slump test ؟ 🤓🔥🧨

يعتبر اقل استفزازاً للاعصاب الطرفيه من slump test وبالتالي بنستخدمه ف اول كشف خصوصا لو العيان اقل مقاومه للالم او جايلك ب Hypersenisitivity للملس او الحركه .

فبنلجأله لو SLR طلع -ve وانت لسه عندك اعراض طرفيه عصبيه
🚫❌مش بنلجأله فالاول مع عيان مش مستحمل الجلوس او الوقوف ودايما بيفضل وضع النوم (antigravity provocing test) (مش من مصلحتك عيانك يتعب فالكشف المبدأي عشان تتاكد بس من تشخيصك)❌

ال slump test ادق بس صعب تطبيقه فالاول 👌
ال SLR ممكن يديك false +ve بس ممكن نتجنبهاا 👏🏻

عمرك دخلت الاوضه وبعد ما دخلت وقفت عند الباب ولقيت نفسك ناسي انت عاوز ايه 😭

دي ظاهره نفسيه طبيعيه بتحصل لاغلبنا بتكرار مختلف ..بس عادي رضا 😂

يعني اي الكلام ده ؟🙄
يعني ده خلل مؤقت بيحصل فال working memory او الذاكره العامله +motor planning او تخطيط الحركه وده وظيفه كذا مكان فالمخ
prefrontal cortex و supplemtary motor cortex و شويه circuits ما بين
cortex (القشره المخيه ) و basal ganglia
فالاخر بتجهزك ازاي تعمل الحركه وتبداها وازاي تعمل shift ما بين حركه والتانيه ،وهنا تبدا مشكله ال doorway 🚫

فالظروف العاديه بتبقى مشكله مؤقته وبتتصلح ب brain activities تخلي circuits دي انشط واسرع 👏🏻
زي مثلا :
انك تعد من ١-٥ بالعكس
او لو بتعمل كذا task ف وقت واحد اكتب قبل ما تبدا اللي هتعمله عشان متنساش فالنص
اقف في مكانك وحاول تسترجع اخر حاجه كنت بتعملها قبل ما تدخل الاوضه الجديده
ادي لنفسك visual cues في كل مكان وزود ال auditory cues بانك تعيد ال tasks لنفسك كدا مره
