⚠️ DON’T MAKE THIS MISTAKE IN THE EGYPTIAN SUN.
Feeling dizzy, weak or exhausted after a long day in the sun?
Don’t simply assume you need to “drink some water and rest.”
In hot weather, your body can become overheated and dehydrated surprisingly quickly — especially during beach days, swimming, desert excursions and long hours outdoors.
☀️ Heat exhaustion can cause:
• Heavy sweating
• Headache
• Dizziness or weakness
• Nausea
• Muscle cramps
• Feeling unusually tired
🚨 But confusion, fainting, seizures, or very hot skin can be signs of a much more serious emergency: heat stroke.
What should you do?
➡️ Stop the activity and move to a cool or shaded place.
➡️ Remove unnecessary clothing and start cooling the person.
➡️ If they are awake and able to swallow, offer cool fluids.
➡️ If you suspect heat stroke, seek emergency medical care immediately. Do not wait for the person to “feel better.”
And one important point:
Children and older adults can be particularly vulnerable to heat-related illness, so don't wait until they complain of thirst before offering fluids and taking breaks.
🌴 Enjoy the Red Sea.
☀️ Enjoy the sunshine.
💙 But respect the heat.
