You’re not burnt out the way people picture it. You’re too good at functioning for anyone to notice and that including you.
You still hit every deadline. You just do it running on caffeine, thoughts about what’s need to be done next, and the fear of what happens if you stop.
And when rest doesn’t “work” fast enough, you decide you’re
doing rest wrong too, and add it to the list of things to optimise.
A good weekend doesn’t touch it anymore.
Monday drains you to zero by midday( or even before, already on your train to work).
That’s not a scheduling problem. It’s a nervous system that hasn’t been genuinely off in years.
