Have you tried something new lately or something you really need to work on because it doesn't come easy?
That's where the magic happens. When you take baby steps to improve, to learn.
When you look back and see how far you've come how your outlook, life, energy and skill has changed.

Be proud of your journey and for taking the risk on something new.

How do you manifest calm?

Strategies that work for me:

1️⃣ Deep breaths.
2️⃣ Yoga stretches.
3️⃣ Selfsoothing, stroking my fingertips together.
4️⃣ Observing all that's around me, taking in all the details.
5️⃣ Identifying intrusive thoughts and kindly letting them go.
6️⃣ Redirecting using a count down from 5 to then take a given action.
7️⃣ Moving my body, running.
8️⃣ Soaking up the sun when I get a chance
9️⃣ Reading
🔟 Talking to people who nourish my soul.

Estrategias que me funcionan a mí:
1️⃣ Respirar profundamente.
2️⃣ Estiramientos de yoga.
3️⃣ Tocar una mano con la otra, como acariciandome.
4️⃣ Observando en detalle todo a mi alrededor.
5️⃣ Dándome cuenta cuando aparecen pensamientos intrusivos y redireccionandolos con amor.
6️⃣ Haciendo cuenta atrás desde 5 para comenzar otra tarea.
7️⃣ Moviendo mi cuerpo, correr.
8️⃣ Tomar el sol cuando se puede.
9️⃣ Leer.

As long as it feels right for you, it aligns with your values, it respects who you are and want to be

keep going,
keep growing.

You are building a beautiful life no matter how many turbulent waters you've sailed to get there, it's your masterpiece, be proud, be bold, be you and keep painting it your favourite colours.

Let me share a little personal story about this postcard ↙️

Many moons ago I discovered how toxic some people can be. Through no fault of my own (honestly, I'd never even met the person) I was targeted by them in the most malicious way (horrible texts) due to a mutual acquaintance.

It made me feel uncomfortable, anxious and afraid. I mean, who choses to spread hate for the sake of it? I'd never experienced such a thing to this level before.

So when I saw this postcard that day I couldn't help but bring it home, for it to always remind me that I will always chose kindness and chose my mental health over any hate or hurtful comments.

Kindness IS power, I'd even say it's a SUPERpower.

Hace mucho fui víctima de acoso online por alguien que ni conocía, teníamos un amigo en común.

Me hizo sentir incómoda, ansiosa y con miedo. ¿Por qué algunas personas quieren mostrar tanto odio? Nunca había vivido esto antes.

Ese día vi esta postal y no pude evitar llevármela a casa para recordarme que siempre optaré por ser amable y siempre cuidaré de mi salud mental a pesar del odio que algunos siembren.

La amabilidad ES un poder, es más, es un SUPER poder.

About last weekend🏃‍♀️ Swipe for the face of being on a high! ↙️

I'm so grateful to have completed this race, in a place so dear to my heart.

Always counting my blessings, looking back now there are so many:

☑️ Finished my 3rd 10km race (been running for about 1 year)
☑️ I was in the highest spirits in this race and had the best cheerleaders.
☑️ Completed it in my fastest time 53mins (previous 2 in 54mins)
☑️ Ended 592nd of 1270 total finishers.
☑️ Ranked 76th of 397 women finishers.
☑️ My body felt amazing.
☑️ I know my limits and what I can achieve through work and consistency.

Don't forget to count your blessing, no matter how small, you're a work in progress and are always moving forward.

Sobre el finde pasado! Imagen dos es cara de estar a tope de adrenalina.

Estoy tan agradecida de haber completado esta carrera en un sitio tan cercano a mi corazón.

Echando la vista atrás tengo tantas cosas por las que ser agradecida:

☑️Terminar mi tercera carrera de 10kms (llevo corriendo alrededor de 1 año)
☑️ Tener los mejores animadores.
☑️ Terminarla en mi tiempo récord 53 minutos (las otras dos en 54)
☑️ Puesto 592 de 1270 que completaron la carrera.
☑️ Puesto 67 de 397 mujeres que completaron la carrera.
☑️ Mi cuerpo se siente increíble.
☑️ Conozco mis límites y lo que puedo lograr con trabajo y consistencia.

No olvides ser agradecido, todos progresamos dando pequeños pasos.

What's your favourite activity❓
What makes your heart happy❓

Have you ever really stopped to consider these questions? I guess there's two main answers to this as told by:
1) those who just know what they love and do it for enjoyment,
2) those who haven't stopped to consider it so would struggle to find an answer.

Well... There's no time like the present to define the answer if you're in the second category.

For me, I've found a new love for visiting bookshops. They just hold so much beauty both in visual and literary form. They're a place to explore and get lost in words (what an amazing way to lose yourself!)

¿Qué hace que tu corazón sea feliz?

¿Alguna vez te has parado a hacerte estas preguntas? Supongo que hay dos tipos de respuestas principales que vienen de:
1) aquellos que conocen bien su pasión y lo hacen por amor al arte
2) aquellos que ni se han hecho la pregunta y por ello les costaría contestarla.

Pues.. Si eres de los segundos, no hay mejor momento que el presente para definir tus respuestas.

Mi actividad es visitar librerías, tienen tanta belleza tanto en forma visual como literaria y son un lugar donde puedes explorar y perderte entre palabras (¡menuda forma de perderse!)
