How do you feel when you read my words
Do you believe the post is centered on you?
Where do you sense the response?
Is it your mind—maybe your ego—that perceives you in the narrative?
Or could it be your Heart—thankful for the lack of reaction?
My posts are crafted to invoke introspection and to uplift.

Embrace your Heart.

Belonging is one of our deepest human needs. It can also make it extraordinarily difficult to question the beliefs of the group around us.
There are moments when we must decide whether fitting in matters more than being faithful to what we genuinely believe and feel.
Sometimes Truth requires us to step away from the crowd.
Allow the Heart to feel the Truth.
Be your Heart.

There is a difference between being difficult and refusing to surrender our own discernment.
Questioning accepted ideas does not automatically make us right — but neither does consensus automatically make something true.
Listen. Question. Reflect. And beneath all the noise, notice what you genuinely feel.
Allow the Heart to feel the Truth.
Be your Heart.

Sometimes we keep giving not simply because we are generous, but because somewhere beneath that generosity lies a fear: if we stop giving, perhaps they will leave.
So we give more of our time, our energy, our attention and sometimes ourselves. We compromise. We tolerate behaviours we would once have considered unacceptable. We convince ourselves that maintaining the connection is more important than questioning what that connection is costing us.
But there can be a very high price for belonging.
If keeping someone in our lives requires us to continually diminish ourselves, silence our needs or surrender our self-respect, we have to ask whether we are experiencing genuine connection — or simply avoiding the pain of abandonment.
Being fully human means needing others. Connection, Love and belonging matter deeply to us. But the fear of losing another person should never require us to lose ourselves.
Sometimes self-respect means accepting that someone may leave when we stop giving them everything they want.
Let them.
Those who value you, rather than simply what you provide, will not require you to sacrifice yourself to keep them.
Value connection. Give generously. Love deeply. But never make yourself the price of keeping someone else.
Choose Your Heart.

Being a good person does not guarantee that other people will be good to us.
We can treat others with kindness and still encounter cruelty. We can be honest and still be deceived. We can offer loyalty and receive betrayal. We can act with integrity and discover that someone else has very different values.
Perhaps one of the hardest lessons in life is accepting that the way we treat others does not determine how they will treat us.
But their behaviour presents us with another choice. We can allow disappointment to make us cynical, betrayal to make us distrustful, and cruelty to make us cruel — or we can recognise that their actions tell us something about their character, not ours.
Being a good person does not mean tolerating bad behaviour. We can establish boundaries, walk away and protect ourselves without surrendering the values by which we choose to live.
Never allow someone else's darkness to convince you to extinguish your own light.
Let their behaviour reveal their character — not change yours.
Choose Your Heart.

How do you FEEL when you read my posts?
Some people are incapable of truly FEELING.
They can only THINK.
Disconnected from EMPATHY and LOVE.

Do you immediately believe the post is about YOU?
Some people see themselves in everything.
Everything becomes personal.
Everything becomes an attack.
This is the EGO demanding to be heard.

Others will read the very same words and pause.
They will look within.
They will question.
They may feel challenged, inspired, introspective or uplifted.
They do not ask, “Is this about me?”
They ask, “What does this awaken within me?”

This is the Heart Connection.
Embrace it.

For almost fifty years, Bohemian Rhapsody has fascinated, confused, and moved millions of people.

Freddie Mercury never told us exactly what it meant. Perhaps that was the point.

When I listen to it, I hear something far deeper than a story told through music. I hear an internal battle — between Light and darkness, fear and love, conformity and freedom, the mind and the Heart.

I hear the struggle that takes place within the human being when we begin to question what we have been taught, who we have become, and whether the voice guiding us is truly our own.

And within that struggle, I hear something else. Darkness does not win.

This is my interpretation of one of the most extraordinary songs ever written. You may hear something entirely different, and perhaps that is the real genius of Bohemian Rhapsody.

Bohemian Rhapsody — The Battle Within

You'll find versions beginning with Communists, others with Socialists, and different combinations of Jews, trade unionists, Jehovah's Witnesses and people with disabilities.

Niemöller apparently didn't compose one definitive poem and publish it. He expressed the idea repeatedly and somewhat spontaneously in post-war speeches, changing the groups he mentioned. The version I have above is therefore one of several versions of what is better described as a confession or statement rather than a poem.

I think knowing Niemöller's history transforms its meaning. It isn't: “Look what terrible people allowed to happen.” It's much closer to: “I was one of the people who failed to speak when I could have. I eventually learned what that silence costs.”

That is probably why it has survived for eighty years. It asks an extremely uncomfortable question of every generation: Will I defend another person's humanity only when I identify with them, or because they are human?

Sometimes the hardest people to walk away from are those we have helped, supported and cared for the most.
We remember what they have been through. We know their vulnerabilities. We remember the times they needed us and perhaps feel that leaving now would somehow make us responsible for what happens next.

And sometimes there is another reason: we have invested so much of ourselves in them that walking away can feel as though everything we gave was wasted. But caring for someone does not make us responsible for carrying them forever.

There comes a point when helping can become carrying — when our compassion begins doing for another person what they must eventually learn to do for themselves. Recognising that point is not abandonment. Sometimes it is the healthiest thing we can do for both of us.

We can still care. We can still hope they find happiness, healing and their own way forward. We simply don't have to continue sacrificing ourselves to make that journey for them. Walking away does not erase the Love and kindness you gave. It simply recognises where your responsibility ends and theirs begins.

You can wish someone well without continuing to carry them.

Choose Your Heart.

Some people apologise because they are genuinely sorry. They recognise the hurt they have caused, take responsibility for their actions and, importantly, try not to repeat them.

Others apologise simply because they have been caught. Their regret is not necessarily for the pain they caused, but for the consequences they now face. Sometimes the apology becomes a way of regaining access to someone they have hurt, without any real remorse or intention to change.

The difference is rarely found in the words “I'm sorry.” It is found in what happens afterwards.

A sincere apology accepts responsibility without excuses. Remorse acknowledges the impact of our behaviour. And genuine change is demonstrated through actions, not promises.

We can accept an apology without immediately restoring trust. We can forgive someone without reopening the door. And we can have compassion for another human being while recognising that their behaviour has shown us something we should not ignore.

Forgiveness can be given freely. Trust should be earned through behaviour.

Forgive with compassion — trust with wisdom.
Choose Your Heart.
