A few thing shared here that I think are good to keep in mind to live a fulfilling life ⬇️

Four A’s to live by:

AUTHENTICITY “Is there an inner guidance I am defying, resisting, ignoring, or avoiding?”.

AGENCY “the capacity to freely take responsibility for our existence”.

ANGER the healthy emotion that helps us set boundaries when we listen to it.

ACCEPTANCE “the recognition that in this moment things cannot be other than how they are”.

🌟Intense 3 days of work at the II symposium on trauma therapy () in Maspalomas.

It has been a year of hard work putring together speakers from all over the world to present on their work proving psychotherapy for trauma.

I particularly enjoyed Dr. Heather Sequeira's work on trauma and OCD. She came from the UK to give a presentation about obsessive and compulssive symptoms as a trauma related response.

We also enjoyed Dr. Arielle Schwartz' talk on psychotherapy and yoga from the Polivagal Theory lense. 🧠🧘🏽‍♂️

Dr. Frank Anderson explained the IFS model in trauma work

And among many other speaker Dr. Sandra Baita came from Argentina to explain her work with children and youth.

Thank you to all my colleagues who helped with the organization and those who attended. ✨

🌍I work with people from all around the world and most of them have decided to establish themselves here in Gran Canaria 🇮🇨.

Some have been here for more than 10 or 15 years and have gotten together with a Spanish partner and work and raise their family here.

Others landed here on vacation or just to spend the winter, only later deciding to come back to live and work from here.

Others like me are from Spain, have studied and worked abroad for years and decided to come back to their roots 🌱

Sometimes when I travel abroad or think of the times when I've lived in the UK or Canada or other cities in Spain, I wonder why I am back. But this image of the sea in the sunlught makes me remember that I am in the right place. 💙🌬️⛱️

My name is Amanda Celis, I’m a registered psychologist in private practice and a yoga teacher.

🌍🇮🇨In 2010 I started a personal development and a professional journey that led me to integrate the science and practice of modern psychology with the wisdom and practices of yoga and of mindfulness meditation.

😱You might feel stuck and exhausted, yet something inside you needs and wants to get help because you know you deserve to feel alive and purposeful in your life.
