Amen 🙏

በአዲስ ዓመት ዋዜማ በሞተር ሳይክል አደጋ የC6 አከርካሪ አጥንት ስብራት ደርሶብኝ ነበር። በእግዚአብሔር ፀጋ ተርፌያለሁ። ስብራቱን ያወቅኩት ከአደጋው በኋላ የተሰማኝ የእጅ መደንዘዝ ምክንያት ምርመራ ሳደርግ ነው።

የC6 ጉዳት በጊዜው ካልታወቀና ካልታከመ ከባድ የነርቭ ጉዳትና አራቱም እጅና እግሮች ሽባ መሆን (quadriplegia) ሊያስከትል ይችላል። ስለዚህ ከአደጋ በኋላ ምንም እንኳን ትንሽ ምልክት ቢኖር አስቸኳይ የሕክምና ምርመራ አድርጉ።

በዚህ አጋጣሚ በመጀመሪያ እግዚአብሔርን ከልብ አመሰግናለሁ፤ ሕይወቴን ስለጠበቀኝና ከዚህ አደጋ ስላዳነኝ። 🙏❤️

እንዲሁም ለዶ/ር በረከት ኃይሉ፣ ኒውሮሰርጀን በSoddo Christian Hospital (SCH) ላደረጉልኝ እንክብካቤ፣ ሙያዊ እገዛና ትጋት ከልብ አመሰግናለሁ። እንዲሁም ለመላው የSCH ሰራተኞች ላደረጋችሁልኝ እንክብካቤ፣ ድጋፍና ትብብር በጣም አመሰግናለሁ።

ይህ ዓመት ጤና ፣ ሰላምና በረከት ይዞ ይምጣ። በተለይም በትራፊክ አደጋ ጊዜ እባካችሁ በጣም ተጠንቀቁ።

እግዚአብሔር ሁላችሁንም ይጠብቅ። መልካም አዲስ ዓመት! ❤️🙏

.World Health Organization (WHO) is working closely with Ministry of Health,Ethiopia , the Ethiopia Public Health Institute and regional health authorities as part of the rapid response to a suspected outbreak of a viral haemorrhagic fever (VHF) in the Southern Ethiopian Region.

8 people, including health workers, have reportedly been infected.

WHO has deployed experts to the affected towns, along with medicines and other materials to support care for people in need, and personal protective equipment for health workers.

WHO will also be supporting contact tracing in affected communities. Samples have been sent for testing. Further details are expected soon.

I have released US$300,000 from the WHO Contingency Fund for Emergencies to provide immediate support.

WHO’s offices in Ethiopia and South Sudan are collaborating closely to prevent potential cross-border transmission. WHO is ready to scale up support, as and when needed.

I commend Ethiopian health authorities for their timely sharing of information and quick response and offer WHO’s full support.

The lives of health professionals matter.
Their families deserve real financial support because even though nothing can replace their lives they should not be left alone in the aftermath of this tragedy.
We call on the WHO, the Ministry of Health, and the South Ethiopia Regional Health Bureau to urgently address the death of frontline workers in South Omo Zone, Jinka Town from an undiagnosed epidemic. Their sacrifice must not be forgotten and real action is needed now.
