I am Anna, the creator of Yoga in Slings and I’m so delighted to have you here in this space. I have always been interested in health and well-being. Women's health and paediatrics are my two main passions, and working with these fields and contributing to that is my dharma. My passion is to merge holistic view with the evidence-based knowledge and take the best of both worlds. As a yoga teacher,

I integrate the yogic knowledge, ayurveda and my healthcare background into my classes, aiming to keep our bodies safe and move the way that serves us the best. My offerings will uplift your health, nurture your mind, and enhance your creativity. Hope to see you in Slings! Love and light,

YOGA IN SLINGS is back 🙌🏼

June 3rd to July 8th
Wednesdays at 6PM NSW

Each class we focus on the different themes of traditional sling yoga asanas deepening your practice.

The sling, bearing some or all of the body weight, takes the practice to a new level, emphasising;

🌺 flexibility
🌺 core stability
🌺 body awareness
🌺 trust & surrender


• Week 1: Heart space
~ When we work with a sling it all begins with an open heart space. Deep breaths and deep streches go together and it's the key in backbends which we learn lots in this class.

• Week 2: Hips
~ Pelvic area holds our biggest muscles. It is also where we get to release stuck energy. Add the sling and you will feel the benefits of open hip flexors and hamstrings.

• Week 3: Balance
~ A class dedicated to the duality of yoga, Hatha Yoga. In this class we play with the opposite energies to lengthen muscles and touch on a more dynamic practice. You discover techniques to improve balance and find a new level of stability and grounding.

• Week 4: Dynamic
~ This week focuses on fluidity and strength as we move through dynamic sequences that challenge your body and engage your core. The sling adds a layer of exploration, helping you deepen transitions and flow with ease.

• Week 5: Play
~ This week invites creativity and joy. We’ll explore variety of movements and inversions using the sling to touch on a more playful side of the practice. Let go of expectations, experiment freely, and find confidence in trying something new.

• Week 6: Trust
~ This class is about putting everything that you have learned together and moving into a deeper intension and trust in your practice. We'll go through variations to add more depth.

A little Bali drop 🌺

For years I heard how I would love Bali, and I wondered what kind of energy does Bali have and the energy I give off for people to keep saying this.

But yes, I loved Bali. My asana practice took big leaps in courage, strength and flow. As much as I love surrender to Bhakti, I crave challenge and pushing boundaries in my physical practice. I cannot wait to pass onto you what I've learnt!

Next month YOGA IN SLINGS is turning 5 years and the booking for the next 6 Week Immersion has opened.

Tomorrow is the last class of YOGA IN SLINGS this term. We will end it with gentle restorative poses where the sling can work its magic through releasing muscle and opening up more space. ✨️

So excited to get back to more rejuvenating and deeper practice, it's been a year since the last RESTORATIVE.

Plenty of props, plenty of time to get it right, and a few inversions in the mix. This class is the most workshop-like as I want to give you the tools that stay within your practice, you know how to approach hip openers safely and find confidence in the space you're at.

YOGA IN SLINGS have been running for a while now, and I’ve loved finding new ways to create classes that accommodate a variety of levels within the same space.

My intention is always to create a practice where the focus turns inward, where you can find your own edges to expand and explore and, if anything, finding inspiration from fellow sling yoginis around you.

Every level is warmly welcome. Whether you’ve been coming consistently, there’s been a gap, or you’re completely new to the practice.

For those who have been practicing regularly, please note there will be a one week break before the next course begins.

Q&A YOGA IN SLINGS

I thought I'd answer the most asked questions here if there is anyone tossing with the idea of joining.

Can I join YOGA IN SLINGS with X background?
- You don't need a sling or yoga background to join a class, so most likely yes. As in any sling practice, there are certain contraindications that you can check on annavuor.com T&C section or message me to check you can practice safely. Main things are that you have a healthy spine and an open mind.

How much weight can the sling bear?
- 100kg

If I cannot attend all the classes in the 6 week term, can I still book?
- Yes you certainly can. Please just note that the pricing doesn't change and the missed classes are non-transferable.

I can't do inversions.
- That's ok. Not everyone has them in their practice. But I've witnessed too many times how over the 6 week immersion people can, so I dare you to let me guide you and give it a go. 😉
