I was diagnosed with Charcot Marie Tooth type 1A in 2004, and Ehlers Danlos Hypermobility in 2007. In 2006, when climbing up my stairs started to become too much, I decided that I needed to reclaim my life through finding balance - and my health. I started doing endurance sports in 2007, and in 2016 my interest in healthy living led me to further studies in health and wellness coaching. Through pe
rsistence and with the help of great coaches I have learned that reclaiming my health is possible. I went from finding 100 meters in the pool a tough challenge to finishing the Scilly Swim Challenge in 2017 (15km swimming 10km walking in one day). I have learned that my body is capable of much more than I had ever dreamed, including multiple endurance cycling challenges as well as competing on the international stage in paratriathlon. I attribute my success to a changed mindset and embracing healthy living as a 24-7-365 endeavour. My health coach training includes the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, Macrobiotic Cooking and Coaching with Simon Brown, and the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy. For me, I get strong to stay strong. I am active to stay active. I strive to find my own balance, and to beat my limitations. If this resonates with you, please reach out. I work with a handful of clients to help people shift their lifestyles and manage challenges - be it chronic health problems or finding balance in a busy life.
