A new sangha offering from Marija! The Third Space Theory is a sociolinguistic theory that describes a person or community’s continuous process of negotiating their sense of culture and identity, as first defined by Homi K. Bhabha. A Third Space is often characterized as an undefined middle ground, where different elements of a person’s cultural and environmental realities can be cobbled together into a constantly-evolving framework for self-identification. The theory relies heavily on the principle of hybridity, and an interpretation of culture as liminal conversations between members and stakeholders.
All Plum Village practitioners who can relate with these examples are invited to join in creating an Online Third Space Sangha within the Plum Village Tradition. You can join as a gardener and support or just join our sessions. The idea is to begin with one session monthly and see how it develops. It is initiated by Marija who was an active Wake Up practitioner until she found herself lost (dazwischen) between those categories of having privileges but also experiencing racism.
All ages are welcome to join!
