Where is this week going! 😅 💨 it’s flying by!! I keep meaning to pop up a post to say apologies but no Thursday this week as my little boy has an orthodontist appointment in town right at tea time🥴 Not sure how long we will be so I don’t want to be panicking about time. X

Wow wow wow Zombie Apocalypse bookings are coming in thick and fast!! I’m absolutely blown away by the amount of new bookings I’ve had in the last week! I am beyond grateful and so excited to see these sessions being enjoyed by so many young people 🖤🧟‍♀️
Thank you so much to everyone who has booked a session in the past, is currently booked in for one in the coming weeks and to everyone who has spread the word and given me such good feedback!! I honestly can’t thank you enough. 🖤🖤

Last night I had the privilege of running a Zombie Apocalypse Session for the lovely 22nd Aberdeen Guides based in Springfield Church.
The weather looked positively apocalyptic at one point with winds and dark skies looming but it stayed dry for us and we were able to do the session outside!

What a fantastic night, everyone was so lovely and welcoming, the girls all worked amazingly together, top notch communication skills and amazing resilience to all the challenges and games, lots of laughter and plenty requests to do certain things again (always a good sign🥰)…plus I have to say, i have never had a group get themselves into a perfect circle quicker than this lot did 👏 haha!! (The little things deserve acknowledgment too!🩷)

Just Look at the amazing amount of food the unit has donated as part of our kindness exchange- I provide the session and the girls all bring me 3 tins of food. We use the items as props during the session and at the end they hand them in and I donate them on their behalf to Aberdeen Cyrenians where it goes to a fantastic cause and it very appreciated. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity 22nd Aberdeen Guides. 🩷

You should all be very proud of yourself for completing the session. I had a fantastic evening and I hope you did too! 🩷🧟‍♀️🖤

We got a beautiful evening for our session tonight at Danestone Country Park. So lovely to be back getting some fresh air and exercise together. We took a few minutes at the end to do our cards as a nice little mindful moment 🩷 A very kind passer by offered to take a group shot so we got a decent photo together 🤩

Good Morning Folks!

Hope you’re all doing great and have been enjoying the summer!

It’s been a couple of weeks since I last posted. The small break has been lovely and sorely needed. However I’m now looking ahead to when we can get started again with our Thursday evening antics!

The last few weeks off have really given me time to think and reflect a lot about this group- From where it started and how it’s developed over the years. I still can’t believe we will soon be celebrating 7 years of Motivate Me in September! There will definitely be a celebration that night at our little Planks and Prosecco session 🥳

Very happy to say that sessions will resume on Thursday 20th August - The Event details are up now👍
I’m hoping to add a new element to the end of a sessions now too for those who are interested. After we’ve done our cool down and stretch I thought it would be nice to have a little mindful moment with the Angel Cards and Affirmation cards. We used to do this on our Sunday Walks at the beach and it was always really nice. I miss doing that so i thought why not try and incorporate it at the end of our Thursday Sessions too🥰 (Obviously it’s a completely optional element to the session)

Morning Everyone 👋
Hope you’re all doing great today!

Wee update!
After a bit of thinking I’ve decided to pause sessions for a few weeks in the summer holidays. Given that people have holidays booked(us included this year! Yay!!🎉) days away planned and most of us will be trying to juggle work and keeping the kids entertained I think it makes sense to take a break.
Also a proper break to recharge my creative brain is sorely needed! It’s been a very busy and challenging year to say the least . 🎢 🩷

I’ll pop up the next Thursday session once I work out when that’ll be 👍

In the meantime have a great, safe and fun few weeks ahead whatever you have planned and I’ll see you all soon! Recharged and raring to go 🏃🏻‍♀️💪🩷

No session tomorrow night folks as it’s last day of term and last day of primary school for my son so we have lots of fun things planned for after school tomorrow! Don’t want to be clock watching and having to rush off etc. X

I’m speechless 😶 (For once)😆
I honestly can’t even begin to express my feelings about the amount of food the 51st Brownies Unit from Kincorth collected for donation last night🥹

I don’t have the unit leader on here but hopefully it will reach the right people 🤞

The Girl Guides Units and now some of the Brownies Units have spent the last 2 years going above and beyond with their generosity and kindness. It makes me so emotional and very proud of every single young person who has participated in a Zombie Apocalypse Session. They deserve some big recognition!!
I ask for 3 tins per person but they never only bring 3 - they bring tons, pasta, rice, biscuits, sauces, soups… honestly my faith in humanity restores itself every single time🥰🥹

The Brownies last night were such an amazing group of Youngsters who were all up for the challenge! They listened so well to all the instructions, they worked together displaying fantastic teamwork and respect. They were so friendly and welcoming and asked me some absolutely brilliant questions about Zombies 😂 Thank you for having me and thank you for being so unbelievably generous 🥰

Thank you for picking the Kindness Exchange option. I deliver the session to empower your young people and you donate food to a local charity- it’s a win win. 🧟‍♀️ 💪🥰

Head is spinning a little from trying to fit everything in today and dealing with a bit of a migraine brain😵‍💫… as the ladies in the group chat just found out. Full conversation with Martin about how my day is going and I sent it to them instead 😆 😵‍💫 never mind 🙈
