Today was my final Annual Review appointment at the Children’s Hospital! When I next have clinic in September it will be at the adult CF clinic at ARI. Today I had fasting bloods first to check for CF related Diabetes and other bloods to check my vitamin levels and various other things, my Lung Function checked which my consultant was delighted with, a Chest X Ray, a discussion with the Consultant about what happens now and a chat with the physiotherapist. I have a physio appointment in July to do my ‘bleep test’ as it’s better to do it after being well rested and fed and not after fasting 🤣. Everyone was really happy with me today so I hope that continues! As it was my final children’s appointment I took the Team some cupcakes. I also got a goodie bag from The Leanne Fund which was lovely and one of the new services they provide at annual review appointments which are a bit longer.

Last week I had my first Transition Clinic at the Adults Hospital. At my annual review in August we agreed I would have a virtual clinic in January, one other appointment at the Children’s Hospital, and then my final annual review at Children’s in August! This means as soon as I’m 16 next year I will attend the adults hospital. I also had a physiotherapist review last week and will be getting a new inhaler to help when I’m doing cardio exercise.
