We're looking forward to kicking off our Anarchy in Aberdeen workshops this weekend!

We'll be delivering a series of print activity workshops with the theme title Anarchy in Aberdeen. We will explore Peacocks history of radical printmaking, breaking out of the tight and rigid confines of the printmaking studio and opting for more accessible forms of printing including screen printing, exploring words and punk letterpress prints and Lego printing.

Eventbrite booking - https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/o/17459321692

Sessions have been filling up so be sure to check dates and availability via the Eventbrite page, link in bio. The workshops are mixed, both adult and children but the final workshops on the 24th are for adults only.

Please note, these are funded sessions so if you book but cannot attend please cancel your tickets so someone else can benefit.

These sessions have been made possible through joint funding by ACC, Historic Environment Scotland and The National Lottery Heritage Fund.

🎒💜 A LITTLE SUPPORT CAN GO A LONG WAY

Getting ready for a new school year can be exciting for children, but for many families, the cost of school uniforms, shoes, bags, PE kits and stationery can feel overwhelming.

That’s why Touch of Love Outreach - TOL is supporting 50 Aberdeen families with £100 each towards essential back-to-school costs.

💜
If you’re a parent or carer living in Aberdeen with a school-aged child under 18, you may be eligible to apply.

✨ Priority may be given to families who:

• Have 3 or more school-aged children

• Have a child aged 0–5 alongside school-aged children

• Have moved to Aberdeen within the last 3 years
New Scots and Minority Ethnic families experiencing financial pressure are especially encouraged to apply. ❤️ Aberdeen City Council

📅 Applications close: 31 August 2026 at 11:59pm

If you know a parent, carer, friend or family who could benefit from this support, please share this with them.

Sometimes, a little help at the right time can make a big difference.

At Mamacita Foundation , we believe that no family should have to face difficult moments alone.

NOBODY SHOULD FEEL ALONE. 💪🏾❤️

Great fun was had by HANDSS club members this week!

We explored the rubbing trail in Westfield Park, discovering lots of interesting objects and animals along the way. The QR codes were particularly informative, opening up pages with a photo of each object or animal featured on the rubbing plaque, along with fascinating information about each image.

A big thank you to the Friends of Westfield Park for creating such a fun, interactive activity for everyone to enjoy!
