If they're getting in and out of the sleep position by themselves then let them sleep as they want to. Until that point, roll them gentle onto their back again and keep practicing the rolling skills in the daytime. It'll come soon enough.

Remember, clear cot under 1 year old, and even over that age I still wouldn't be filling up their sleep space with lots of soft toys and blankets, but a sleep-safe teddy or comforter is fine.

No routine - you embraced the freedom
Co-slept - you got all the snuggles
Used a dummy - comfort on tap
Fed every hour, all night - great bonding

There are no wrongs when it comes to baby and toddler sleep (well, apart from the things that are genuinely unsafe!). There's just the thing that works now for you and your child. And sometimes that changes. What worked once no longer works or doesn't feel right in the long term.

Getting the balance of sleep right over your baby's day and night is so important.

Too much daytime sleep? They're not going to be able to get through the whole night, resulting in split nights or early mornings.

Remember that they've got both your heat and the extra layer fabric around them. Dress your baby in lighter clothes, make sure their head is free and keep an eye on the temperature.
