Everyone at Orchard Care Home was deeply upset to hear about the recent vandalism of the community garden. This wonderful space is invaluable to both our residents and the local area. Now that open week is finished we are in full summer fayre mode, as school finishes for the summer why not enjoy an afternoon of fun by joining us at the Orchard care home Friday 26th June from 2pm to 4pm, all money raised goes to our residents comfort fund which enables us to offer a wide range of activities for our residents.

This afternoon the competition was fierce with a competitive game of Boccia with our friends from Banchory Primary School, we had another visitor with us the Lord Provost Donald Balsillie who played on team Orchard, it was evens until the last game, where the Banchory pupils came out on top and were delighted to be presented with the new Boccia trophy from the Lord Provost, we have all decided next term we will make it a monthly tournament for the trophy. We wish the children and staff of Banchory Primary School a wonderful summer and we look forward to seeing you all again in August

This morning, our residents enjoyed a vibrant intergenerational Creative Mojo session, welcoming children from Glenview Nursery and the St Bernadette’s St Vinny's group. Together, the two generations collaborated to design and craft a beautiful, color-filled garden party art piece. Saturday morning at the Orchard it was Pet Therapy with a visit from Bunny&Co supported by Lauren and Becca a most enjoyable morning for staff, residents and visitors, with a wide variety of Animals anything from tortoises to chickens to name a few, plenty of cuddles were enjoyed from our furry friends, visiting communal areas and visits to residents in their bedrooms ensuring everyone gets the opportunity.

What a morning at the Orchard with Beat the Goalie to kick off our World Cup, thanks to Chris Allan for supporting our morning and John Glencross from Alloa Athletic Football Memorabilia for organising Chris, it was a great morning for staff, residents and visitors. Delighted to have Banchory Primary School join us getting some coaching from Chris and showing off their skills for the residents
