Disclaimer: I do care šŸ¤

One of the biggest misconceptions about mindfulness is that it’s about analysing your past.

It’s not.

That’s therapy.

Mindfulness can be deeply therapeutic, but the practice itself is much simpler.

It’s about noticing this moment.

ā˜•ļø The cup of tea that’s still warm.
🦢 The sound of the birds outside.
🌱 The feeling of your feet on the ground.
šŸ’¬ The conversation you’re having right now.

The breath you take right now…you won’t take it again.

Most of us spend our lives somewhere else.

Replaying what happened last week.
Worrying about what might happen tomorrow.
Mentally living in places that don’t actually exist.

Meanwhile, today passes us by.

It’s completely natural. We’re brought up with constant questions about our future. What are you doing this weekend? Any holidays? What’s the 5 year plan?

Mindfulness isn’t about pretending problems don’t exist. And it isn’t about no longer wanting to achieve things in the future.

It’s about learning how to stop abandoning the present moment so you can actually experience your life while it’s happening.

Because this moment only happens once.

If you are stuck in cycles of overthinking, rumination or constant worry, send me a DM. I’d love to show you how mindfulness can help šŸ¤

🄵 Feeling frazzled?

Hot weather, endless to do lists, constantly being needed by everyone around you…

It’s no wonder your nervous system is running hot! šŸ”„

This week’s Friday meditation is an invitation to cool things down.

🌊 take 2ļøāƒ£ minutes
🌊 listen with šŸŽ§ if you can
🌊 give yourself permission to stop and take this time

Notice how you feel before and after…

Imagine how different life could feel if you gave yourself moments like this every week, not just when you remember that you need them or an algorithm pops it in front of you!

Drop a šŸ¤ if you’re taking some time out for yourself today

🌲 You weren’t designed for constant noise and pressure.

Since making woodland walks non-negotiable, I’ve noticed:
✨ emotional release
✨ more presence
✨ actual JOY again

Nature heals in ways we’ve forgotten how to talk about.

When was the last time you spent time in nature without your phone? Go out today, even if it’s just for 5 minutes. Don’t take a photo. Don’t listen to a podcast. Do take it all in!

When you say ā€œI’m perimenopausalā€ you get hit with sympathy. We’ve been programmed to think this is a stage of our lives that we should dread.

Instead of hiding away, can you find a way to embrace the transition. See the positives?

I’ll be holding a mindfulness for menopause workshop on the 6th June and will help you to reframe how you approach this Second Spring.

A small group of women in a welcoming, non-judgmental atmosphere.

If you have been made to feel scared or embarrassed about the changes happening as you approach your menopause, please join us house šŸ¤

You wear a brave face as you just keep going.

Then you join one of my classes, have a call with me or meet me at a workshop and suddenly the mask slips. Before you know it, the tears are rolling down your cheeks. Not big, messy sobbing. Just the tears of relief. You can have a moment where you don’t need to hold it together. You don’t need to be ā€œfineā€. You don’t need to be everyone else’s rock.

That’s often how our relationship starts.

And I totally get it. I remember when someone said ā€œyou’re not ok, are you?ā€ and I couldn’t hold it together. I felt seen! That was when I needed to make a change and you can to.

Working with me on a 1-2-1 basis gives you time to explore mindfulness. We go on a journey together and the destination is resilience, presence and a positive outlook.

You know where I am when you’re ready šŸ¤

Two minutes of calm for anyone who needs it today šŸ¤

Pop your headphones on, take a breath and allow yourself a moment to pause.

If this helped, save it for later or share it with someone who might need a little calm too.

Mindful Movement & Meditation

Tonight’s class is all about patience with the body.

Learning to listen rather than push.

We often treat our bodies as something we need to manage or fix.

But I am inviting you to do something different…

To slow down
And actually notice how you feel

A few spaces left if you would like to join us tonight šŸ¤

Patience doesn’t mean doing nothing. It means allowing things to unfold without forcing them.

That might look like:
– taking one breath before reacting
– noticing frustration instead of acting on it
– allowing yourself to rest without guilt

…or making dandelion syrup! Which took me 24 hours to make but included lots of mindful moments from gathering the flowers in the field to separating the petals from the plant and then waiting over night for the petals to soak.

Small moments… but they make a difference, especially when you pause to notice them.

This is something we practise gently in class each week and I would love you to join us on Wednesday evening at 19:15 at Watson House, Morpeth for Mindful Movement & Meditation.
