Grief has no time limit. Grief can feel like a rollercoaster , some days you may feel up and other days you may feel down. Some people in their grief may not want to talk to others or can start pushing people away.
This grief post I came accross below was shared from Laura Fitzpatrick Counselling , who specifically stated ' grief is not something we get over, it is something you learn to carry in your own time and in your own way'. This is true as the grieving process is unique to you and you will learn how to carry it , wether it takes you weeks or years, you will find your own way.
Most importantly know you are not on your own. You are seen, you are valued and heard ๐ค
Grief doesnโt have a rulebook, and there is no โrightโ way to cope. ๐ค
Some days you may want to talk, other days you may need quiet. Be gentle with yourself. Take things one day, or even one moment, at a time. Let yourself feel what you feel, stay connected to people who make you feel safe, and donโt be afraid to ask for support when you need it.
Most importantly, remember that grief isnโt something you simply โget over.โ Itโs something you learn to carry, in your own time and in your own way.
If today is a difficult day, be kind to yourself. Youโre doing enough. ๐ค
