A mum who lost her son to testicular cancer after it was first thought to be an infection is warning others to "not take no for an answer" when getting tested.
Zac Summers-Cameron died from testicular cancer in November 2025, aged just 22.

He was coming to the end of his first year at university when he told his family he had a painful and swollen testicle alongside pain in his abdomen.

His family said that when he first went to the GP, he was initially told it was an infection and was treated with antibiotics in June 2024.

Nearly four months later, when Zac had finally been admitted to the hospital, the family found out he had stage three testicular cancer, which had already spread across his body. 💔😞

Stories like this are such an important reminder to listen to your body and never ignore a change that does not feel right.

If you notice a lump, swelling, change in size or shape, heaviness, discomfort or anything unusual with a testicle, please get it checked.

At Ultrasound NI, you can self-refer for a simple testicular ultrasound — no GP referral is required. Our experienced medical sonographers can assess the area and provide you with your results.

Then Mum and Dad told us they both have a history of being professional dancers… and suddenly it all made sense! 😂💃

Looks like this little superstar might already be following in their footsteps — starting the rehearsals before they’ve even arrived! 👶✨

Definitely one of those scan moments that had the whole room smiling. 🥰

🎓💗 So incredibly proud of these two! 💗🎓

A huge congratulations to our lovely Clinical Assistants, Leah and Sophie, on their amazing A-Level results and on securing their places to study Radiography at Ulster University! 🩻✨

It has been such a pleasure having them as part of the Ultrasound NI team and giving them the opportunity to gain experience within a clinical environment as they worked towards their future careers.

Both girls have been an absolute asset to our team, and we are so proud to have played a small part in their journey into healthcare. 💕

We wish Leah and Sophie every success as they begin this exciting next chapter — we just know they have wonderful careers ahead of them! 🥰

💙 FROM SCAN TO SNUGGLES… MEET BABY BENTLEY! 💙

There is something so special about seeing the little babies we have watched grow on our ultrasound screen finally arrive. 🥹

Beautiful Bentley Gareth Irvine came to visit us many times before he was born — and his mummy says she can now see so many of the little features we picked up on during his scans in his gorgeous newborn face. 🩵

Bentley arrived at 38 weeks, weighing a perfect 7lb 13.5oz.

From those precious ultrasound images to the most beautiful little boy. 👶🏼✨ We saw that he had hair in his scan and just look at that gorgeous head of hair!

Thank you so much to Bentley’s mummy for allowing us to share these gorgeous photographs. It really is such a privilege to be a tiny part of your journey before we get to meet you. 💙
