I have literally just finished this jacket hence why I’m photographing it inside.
This is an age 11-12 Johnnie B jacket. This was the forerunner of Boden so it’s a vintage piece but I think a very nice jacket.
I found this piece of red ditsy material and I thought it would look good in it.
This will be with me tomorrow at The Old Inn in Hutton.

This jacket inspiration started off with a man’s blue tartan tie and an idea from Reverse Garbage in Australia.
One of the ladies from Reverse Garbage was wearing a blouse with random ribbons sewn onto it. It was bizarrely brilliant and I thought if I get materials with the same tonal notes as the tie this could look bizarrely brilliant too!! Maybe 🤷🏻‍♀️
This is a size 16 Dorothy Perkins stonewashed denim jacket. I’ve used pieces of material I bought at a Changing Lives charity shop in Clevedon. Ribbon from The Spinning Weal in Clevedon and a tie I acquired from Weston Hospice. Buttons were from there too (on another jacket but repurposed on here). All materials used have been washed prior creating.
This jacket will be with me at The Old Inn in Hutton this Tuesday night.

I saw this jacket in a preloved shop at the beginning of the year and it looked soooo sad. 😢
It needed a bit of pazazz to make it smile (honestly I’m not 🤪) It felt like a snuggly blanket and I’ve been waiting for Autumn to appear before I did anything to it.
I’ve known a lovely lady for a very very long time who works in a furniture and lifestyle shop here in Weston. Every so often I get a message from her to say there’s some sofa fabric samples that are old stock, would I like them? 🤔 Doah of course I would. I sort through the ones I could use and then I pass the rest to the wonderful Community Scrapstore in Weston.
This is a size 14 Fenn Wright Manson fleece/blanket feel jacket. I’ve used a piece of sofa sample material in a beautiful mustard colour. (Navy and Mustard are a match made in heaven). I’ve embroidered in the same colours all around it and on the collar too. Oh and I’ve changed the button and used a vintage one from my stash!
Now it’s smiling! 😊
This will be with me on Tuesday 7-9.30 6th October at the Old Inn in Hutton.

I’m excited about today. Weston is hosting the Eat Festival so it’ll be worth a mooch and We are in the Sovereign Centre too. Eek!
Hi Ho is off to meet loads of lovely people and maybe do a bit of work!
