Yesterdaywe welcomed the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year and a significant moment in both nature and Traditional Chinese Medicine ☀️

This is the peak of Yang energy: a season associated with growth, activity, vitality and connection.

While this energy can feel uplifting, it is also a reminder to create balance. During the warmer months, it becomes even more important to prioritise rest, hydration and nourishment.

Take a moment this week to pause and appreciate the season, whether that's a walk outdoors, eating seasonal foods, or simply enjoying a few quiet moments in the sunshine.

💙 Happy Father's Day 💙
Today, we're celebrating all the dads, stepdads, grandads, father figures and those who lovingly take on the role of a dad in someone's life.

We're also thinking of those who are patiently waiting, hoping and preparing for the day they become a father. Fertility journeys can be filled with many emotions, and Father's Day can bring mixed feelings for some.

Whether you're spending today with family, remembering someone special, supporting loved ones, or looking forward to the future, we hope you find a moment of peace, gratitude and connection.

Wishing you a very Happy Father's Day from Gaynor Grozier Acupuncture 💜

👨 As Men's Health Week approaches, it's a timely reminder that looking after your health isn't just about fitness or physical strength.

More people are beginning to view health differently. Instead of waiting until symptoms become overwhelming, many are choosing to support their wellbeing proactively through lifestyle changes, nutrition and holistic therapies.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, prevention has always been considered one of the most important aspects of healthcare.

Acupuncture isn't only used when something feels wrong. Many people choose treatment to support:
✨ stress resilience
✨ energy levels
✨ sleep quality
✨ digestive health
✨ hormonal balance

Health is about more than treating illness, it's about helping the body stay balanced and well. Read the full blog on our site https://gaynorgrozieracupuncture.com/why-more-people-are-choosing-prevention-over-cure/

As we approach the end of Spring I ask, are you eating for the season you're in?
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, summer is a time of growth, abundance and activity. As temperatures rise, our bodies naturally benefit from lighter, more hydrating foods that help us stay balanced and energised.
Foods such as cucumber, watermelon, courgette, pears, mint and mung beans are traditionally used to help clear excess heat and support hydration during the warmer months.
At the same time, heavily processed, fried and very spicy foods can create additional internal heat, leaving us feeling sluggish, tired or overwhelmed.
In my latest blog, I explore how seasonal eating can help support digestion, energy levels and overall wellbeing throughout the summer months.

🌿 Think of your summer plate as a garden: colourful, light and full of life.

☀️ As we approach the Summer Solstice on 21st June, we reach the peak of summer's energy. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this time of year is associated with Summer Heat , a seasonal influence that can leave us feeling restless, overheated, irritable or struggling to switch off at night.

A simple acupressure point you can try at home is Heart 7 (HT7).
📍 You'll find it on the wrist crease, directly below the little finger.
Traditionally, this point is used to help:
🌙 Calm the mind
🌙 Ease restlessness
🌙 Support emotional balance
🌙 Encourage more restful sleep

If the longer days and warmer evenings are making it harder to unwind, try applying gentle pressure to HT7 for around 60 seconds on each wrist while taking slow, steady breaths.

Small seasonal rituals can help bring the body back into balance and support a calmer transition into sleep.

Happy Sunday

Sunday is officially the first day of the week, in the past it was considered a day of rest.

In today's modern world we can lose ourselves in events around us.

It's great to remind ourselves to reset, start our week with light and positive intention.

Hope whatever you're doing your able to take 5,10 minutes out of your day to focus on you!

Sending you love, light and positive vibration.

Have a great day and a great week.

In health,

Gaynor ❤️

As Mental Health Awareness Month comes to a close, it's worth remembering that supporting your mental wellbeing isn't something reserved for just one month of the year.

Often, it's the small daily practices that make the biggest difference:
🌿 Spending time outdoors
🌿 Prioritising rest
🌿 Moving your body gently
🌿 Connecting with others
🌿 Taking moments to simply pause and breathe
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, emotional and physical health are deeply connected. When we support one, we support the other.

✨ You don't have to be struggling to prioritise your wellbeing. You deserve care, support and balance in the everyday moments too. Book a FREE discovery call now https://gaynorgrozieracupuncture.com/book-a-call/
