Did you know that the Essence of Clinical Aromatherapy International Seminar first opened its doors at the Royal Marsden Hospital, London in 2017?

Since then, this biennial event has grown from strength to strength, establishing an enviable reputation for excellence in education and networking between practitioners, researchers, medical personnel and suppliers of oils and services to the aromatherapy community.

For our 6th event, we will be showcasing Aromatherapy in Integrated Healthcare at the University of York, England the 1st & 2nd July, 2027.

We are delighted that ECA2027 will bring our international community to York, UK.

Founded by the Romans in AD 71, it later became the Viking capital of northern England before flourishing as one of medieval Europe's most important commercial and religious centres.

Despite its remarkable history, York remains compact and easy to explore on foot.

For each conference edition of ECA, we are always very careful to choose a fitting setting that meets the vibe and all the requirements of hosting an international event. I am thrilled to say that the location of ECA2027 is simply perfect for the occasion!

For this in-person clinical aromatherapy conference and trade show and post-conference masterclass, we will be in the state-of-the-art Ron Cooke Hub at The University of York, with stunning views of the lake and plentiful green open spaces!

The University is easy to access from York Centre with dedicated Uni buses. Details of on-campus accommodation will be announced later this year but be sure to save the dates and register your interest in joining us for another world-class event!

Have you noted the dates for ECA2027 in your calendars yet? This world class in-person clinical aromatherapy conference is taking place at the University of York July 1&2 2027 and on-site campus accommodation will be available!

Putting the heart back into HealthCare is one of the missions of the Essence of Clinical Aromatherapy International Seminar that has been running since 2017!
Now in its 6th edition, ECA2027 is preparing to showcase the best of essential oil and aromatherapy interventions in Integrated Healthcare at the University of York next July!

What an extraordinary gathering! 💚

ECA2025 was a joy from start to finish — filled with phenomenal lectures, deep clinical insight, and a global community of inspiring professionals. We welcomed delegates from around the world, both in-person and online, and felt the power of shared knowledge and heart-led practice at every turn.

From the thought-provoking sessions to the special events like the ICAN Tea Party and the international AromaConnect gathering, this year’s seminar was more than a conference — it was connection, celebration, and community in action.
