So the weather may be grey and very wet today but….EULAR 2026 starts today in London 🙌🏻

EULAR congress is a key conference focusing on rheumatic and muscular skeletal conditions such as Rheumatoid Arthritis, JIA, Osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia and polymyalgia rheumatica. It’s attended by Rheumatologists from around the world as well as researchers, rheumatology nurses, and clinicians - alongside patient representatives like me☺️

Today I’m wearing many hats - primarily attending as someone with over 22yrs lived experience of RA, and also as a healthcare practitioner that supports individuals with autoimmune disease and muscular skeletal conditions.

So many RA related topics on the agenda over the next few days including updates on the importance of nutrition (esp dietary fibre), development of osteoporosis, Menopause and pregnancy in individuals with RA.

I just need to work out how I can clone myself to attend them all.

So raincoat and trainers ready, old school note book packed and water bottle filled - EULAR 2026 here I come!

If you are also attending let me know as I’d love to connect. Or if you can’t attend but have questions comment below 👇🏻or drop me a DM.

So what does a month in the life of a Nutritional Therapist actually look like?

Well it’s busy - and on top of seeing my clients in clinic during May I was able to …
1. Trying out some of .uk latest therapies at their Regent Street Clinic
2. Attend British Association for Nutrition & Lifestyle Medicine (BANT) AGM learning about latest projects, industry changes and hearing from CNHC about how the work we do registered PSA accredited nutrition therapy practitioners is so important 🙌🏻
3. NED forum learning about how data from personal wearable devices can aid our personalised investigations with clients and the importance of being trained in nutrigenomics and using creditable, well researched genetic testing companies (like )✅
4. Catching up in real life with wonderful friends that understand the hard work and challenges that being an NT entails.
5-9. Early mornings and brekkie on the go to attend 2 day amazing Regenerus Hormone conference, learning how the latest may help with clinical investigations and get closer to the root cause of symptoms esp through hormonal transitions. So much learning but absolutely fantastic and can’t wait to use in clinic. And obviously learning alongside more amazing ladies that I get to call friends ❤️
10-11. Yes I tested the 5 day fasting mimicking diet 💪🏻🤯 - very insightful (see latest blog)
12. Tried out the chair to see if it could help my lower back aches - and it did ☺️
13. Catching up with fellow fasting pal 💪🏻
14. Checking out client consultation rooms and facilities at - DM me if you would like to come and see me there!
15. Enjoying the weather and taking time to just enjoy being outside and in nature ☀️
16. And yes we built a volcano ….that actually erupted 🙌🏻💪🏻

The sun is back and it’s a bank holiday weekend ☀️🙌🏻

Whilst fasting may not exactly be on your mind as we head into BBQ season, if you have a some free time over the weekend have a read of my latest blog discussing my experience of the 5 day Prolon fasting mimicking diet (FMD).

It’s honest.

The recent research, which includes RCTs involving Stanford University, is incredibly interesting - looking at conditions including diabetes and Crohn’s disease. And I discuss it over in the blog.

So take a look via the website (link in bio) and let me know what you think.

Are you tempted to try it?

Well May has been incredibly busy so far - attending conferences about hormones, Dutch testing, GLP-1 support in clinic, reflux, the use of personal device data in practice, trips to Biogena, AND experiencing a 5 day fasting mimicking diet ….it’s been none stop and the month has not finished yet.

And my latest news letter is due out tomorrow! Are you signed up yet? If not, don’t miss out and sign up via the link in my bio.

Final day of the conference in Glasgow, and it’s made me pause and reflect a little whilst taking a sneaky lunch break in the sun.

For many years now, I’ve been a member of NRAS, something that started from wanting to feel less alone in my own Rheumatoid Arthritis diagnosis. Over time, my patient representative role has grown into something bigger.

Alongside this, I made the decision to retrain as a Nutritional Therapist, largely driven by my own experience and a desire to better understand how nutrition and lifestyle might support my health alongside medical treatment.

So it feels quite special to now have a double-page feature in the latest magazine.

The focus is something I care deeply about - that small, realistic changes can make a difference over time. Not replacing treatment, but supporting it, and helping people feel a little more informed and a little more in control.

If you’ve read it, I’d genuinely love to hear your thoughts.

Happy Thursday!

And yes the background bird song is real - no music added so you can enjoy it too ☺️☀️

Well my daughter definitely got that one wrong 🤣 oh jez where do I begin.

Yes - I did fully explain the menopause process, how it’s actually not the end but the start of the next phase of life - where females hopefully feel confident, free to be themselves, speak their minds and achieve their dreams!

Whether you are going through the transition or on the other side 💪🏻

Now off to ask that question again ….lets hope she gets it right this time 🙏🏻😜

Supplements, supplements, supplements - are your cupboards full of them? Today it seems that everyone is taking something and I speak to so many people, including friends and family, who are taking supplements based on something they’ve seen on social media or in a magazine with the comment saying “this worked for me.”

With pressures to stay well, look young and improve symptoms that are impacting your life, it's easy to make that purchase and add another to the pile.

But the truth is - we are all unique. What works for one person isn’t necessarily right for another.

While I always prefer a food-first approach, there are times when supplements are needed - whether due to deficiencies, increased nutritional demands, and/or certain life stages.

That said, supplements can be expensive, often come with subscription commitments, and when taken incorrectly, they may interact with each other or with medications - sometimes making symptoms worse, not better.

That’s where I come in.

I offer a personalised supplement review tailored to your individual biology, symptoms, and health goals. We’ll look at what you’re taking (or considering), check for interactions, assess dosing, and review when and how to take them for the best results.

Evidence-based. Focused. Designed for you.

If you’re ready to take the guesswork out of supplements, get in touch via the link in the bio above.

Calm and ready to face the day - and two week Easter holiday. Whilst I felt relaxed and happy after my first session - and slept like a baby that night, this time I feel like it had more of an impact straight away. Eve had told me previously that some people, especially with chronic conditions like RA may not feel much change after session 1 - and I think that was me. This time I felt like I had just had a massage at a spa - I was in that calm, relaxed state and felt that nothing could annoy me. I had energy, making me feel motivated to on my to do list 💪🏻🙌🏻

Let’s hope it lasts 🙏🏻

Sending energy vibes to those that need it as I feel like I have plenty at the moment 😜
