OGCancerNI would like to pay tribute and extend our best wishes to Professor John Reynolds as he embarks on his retirement. We recognise his outstanding contribution to the treatment and care of people with oesophageal and gastric cancer. Through his surgical expertise, research and dedication to patients, he has helped improve survival and brought hope to countless families. His legacy will continue through the services he helped develop and the colleagues he inspired. We thank him warmly and wish him a happy and fulfilling retirement, with plenty of time to enjoy family, friends and golf!

Waiting times continue to be an issue of massive concern at OGCancerNI. Some of the recent figures we have seen coming out are simply nowhere near being good enough. Lives are at risk. The difference in someone receiving a diagnosis at Stage I in comparison to Stage IV can be, quite literally, life and death. Thank you Stewart for keeping this issue on the table...

Throwback Saturday! This day last week, we were getting ready to make the draw and deliver some exciting news to our cruise winner!
In case you missed it, here's the moment Helen, Robert and Stewart spoke to Ciera to tell her that her husband Declan had won our trip-of-a-lifetime cruise competition.
What an incredible day and what an incredible prize, courtesy of The Cruise Room Ireland and Seabourn.

Ok, so now we are into October, is it safe to mention the big man in the red suit? Good, we thought so!
As we all know, Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without a good old Chocolate Orange in the bottom of our stocking! For anyone partial to these sweet treats, why not give it an even bigger festive twist AND support OG at the same time?
The wonderful Helen MacAulay is hand knitting these gorgeous Christmas chocolate covers and selling them to help raise funds for us. If you would like to purchase any for gifts, please drop us a line.
