Special post for Rose today! 🌹

Over the last few months, we have been working together to build Rose’s confidence in using the bus independently. She has been using the bus to travel and visit family, and today she successfully travelled from Belfast to Ards all by herself! 🚌

The first bus didn’t stop, but that didn’t put her off. She stayed determined and confidently caught the next one. 💪

This is a fantastic example of what can be achieved when family and services work together to promote independence and confidence. Seeing Rose reach this milestone makes me so proud.

I am absolutely chuffed! Well done, Rose! 🌹👏❤️

Hard day at the office! ☀️😜
A little rest and recovery after all of yesterday’s antics 💃🏼🕺🏼
We did, in fact, manage some cooking in between the gardening and outdoor games ⚽️🏓
The chicken satay was delicious, and an ice lolly was the perfect way to cool down in the heat 🍦

Sore feet from dancing and sore cheeks from smiling! 🕺🏼😜

You all know that at Laso, we love an adventure, and what an adventure this was! We made it to Scotland and back on the Stena Line, and it was absolutely incredible.

We played bingo, took part in a quiz, relaxed, read books, played cards (with a little cheating from the boys 👀), and, of course, we DANCED! 💃🕺

We’ll be talking about today for a long time to come. The craic was 90! 🎉

Who knew our Daryl was such a great mover? He had everyone up on the dance floor. Rose was happily tucked away in a cosy corner with her book, while George needed a little encouragement but made it up in time for the last few songs.

What a fantastic day filled with laughter, fun, and memories to treasure! ❤️🚢✨

Finally getting to celebrate Daryl’s birthday the way he wanted! 🎉

The rain didn’t dampen our spirits ☔️
We had a little wander around town, popping in and out of the shops before heading to King Pin where played some arcade games and then had a game of darts 🎯

I may have a hidden talent… or maybe it was just beginner’s luck 😂 because I beat all the boys! I have bragging rights now for the next week! It was a tough game though, and they are very talented!

Another day done and dusted 😁

Happy Hump Day! 😊

We completely forgot to take any photos today! 📸

We had a great day filling in our scrapbooks, which we haven’t done in a while. Daryl and George even started their own scrapbooks too! We spent some time looking back at everything we’ve been up to, all the places we’ve visited, and thinking about what our next adventure might be. ✨

We also stopped for a bit of cooking! Keeping with our Chinese theme, we made chicken fried rice, and it was a 10/10 from everyone! 🍚

I have a big favour to ask any local businesses that may see this post. Daryl’s family are holding a fundraiser for Survivors of Su***de and are looking for raffle prizes. If anyone would be willing to donate something, please let me know. It would mean so much to the family. ❤️

Over the years, they have raised an incredible amount of money, it’s absolutely mind blowing! We’d love to help them reach a big milestone this July. Every donation, no matter how big or small, would be hugely appreciated.

George and I started a dance party this afternoon, Daryl joined in after, and Rose thought we were all mad!
