AI is a funny thing, with social media trends coming out of nowhere to test its limits. I saw this ChatGPT image trend on LinkedIn and decided to give in to it, so I copied the prompt below and followed it up with some refinements. Here's what came out...

(Prompt copied:
Here are some pictures of me. I want you to draw me in a free and stripped sketch style, with color. On a bright white background, 3:2 landscape aspect ratio, freely distribute full-body drawings, face close-ups, small scribbles, full-body sketches and chibi/ deformed versions, so that the page conveys the character's humour and personality.
Don't do it like an organised character sheet, but like a sketchbook full of information drawn at will by an illustrator and then stacked. Try to match the facial and body features as well as the skin tone of my image for the drawings that reflect a more true representation.
Use everything that you know about me from our conversations, including my personality, habits, strengths, quirks, profession, and overall vibe, to imagine how an illustrator would interpret me as a character.)

The door opened the wrong way… and somehow that became this week’s reflection.

We were away for a few days while the kitchen was being refitted, and our dogs kept getting confused by the garden door.

At home, they know exactly how the sliding door opens.

But this door opened differently.

So they sat patiently at the wrong side, waiting for something familiar to happen.

At first, we laughed and called them confused.

But actually, they weren’t confused.

They were relying on a learned behaviour that usually makes perfect sense.

And that got me thinking about dementia, behaviour, habits, prompts, patterns, and the assumptions we can make when someone responds in a way we don’t immediately understand.

This week’s reflection is called:

Behaviour Isn’t Random

It’s about looking beyond the surface, taking time to understand what might be driving behaviour, and asking better questions before we jump to conclusions.

This week I'm reflecting on a short break we took away from home. The landlord has refitted the kitchen so we escaped the chaos for a few days at a friend's lovely Airbnb, in an idyllic home away from home, set amongst t...
