The last few days weve been constantly chasing the lows. I think its the hot weather, even with reduced insulin we have been fighting diabetes. As parents of a 4 year old who is hypo unaware we have no idea what his levels are going to do next. You may look and think hes mainly in range...... little do you know how much sugar our little hero has drank /eaten just to keep him up during this.......usually my mind set is to keep positive about type one but sometimes its ok to let everyone know that at times I just want diabetes to do one!

So after much debating,2 pump information days and 18 months into diagnoses we have decided to try out the pump. We have gone with the medtronic 640. First introduction session is next week and we are all super excited but so nervous and apprehensive about how we will get on. This is going to be like a new family member to us. Diabetes for Oliver will now be visable to all, he is different but it means less injections for his tiny little body. Bring on the challange of trying to manage T1 in a different way! In a couple of days time I will post a new blog about our decision to go with a pump. Check it out https://ourtypeonejellytot.blogspot.com
