Passion Project Incoming Alert… 🚨
As a medical herbalist, I spend a lot of time talking about the foundations of health: diet, lifestyle, and environment. If you've been around here for a while, you'll know I'm very much a solutions-driven kind of gal.
We've got you covered when it comes to skincare, home aromatherapy, and more recently through The Clean Collective with our range of non-toxic cleaning products. But what about diet? The bit where the rubber really hits the road.
During consultations, it became increasingly clear that so many people want to buy ethical, well-produced food from small-scale farmers and artisan producers rather than the supermarkets. They want to support the people growing, rearing, making, and creating incredible food — but they don't always know where to find them.
Quite the conundrum.
💡 Then came the lightbulb moment.
Why not create a community page that connects conscious consumers directly with the farmers and producers they're looking for?
I floated the idea to our friend (and social media ninja) at Mother.Clucking.Farm, and less than 12 hours later she'd only gone and made it happen. Honestly, she's like the Duracell Bunny — point her in a direction and she's off. 😂
Think of it as an online farmers' market — a place where producers can showcase what they do best and where customers can discover incredible food, straight from the source. And while we're at it, if you're involved with an actual farmers' market, we'd love to hear about that too. The more connections we can create, the better.
The ethos is simple:
🌱 Passion before profit
🌱 Completely free to join
🌱 Supporting British farmers, growers, makers, and artisan producers
🌱 Connecting communities with good food and fewer food miles
So, if you care about what you put on your table, want to support local producers, and are concerned about the challenges currently facing British farming, this might just be the community you've been looking for.
The page is still very much in its infancy, but every great community starts somewhere. Together, let's create a thriving network that champions British producers, celebrates great food, strengthens local economies, and makes it easier for people to buy with confidence and conscience.
Know a producer making damn good food? Don't keep them to yourself — invite them along. Let's grow something special. ❤️
