One Year of Steam Works

A year ago, we parked a wood-fired sauna on Bigbury Beach and hoped a few people would enjoy it.
Since then, thousands of sessions later, Steam Works has become something truly special. We’ve welcomed locals, swimmers, surfers, walkers, holidaymakers and first-time sauna-goers, while watching a wonderful community grow around heat, cold water and good company.

Over the past year, we’ve been nominated for Best New Sauna in the UK, opened a second location in Hope Cove, and received more than 100 reviews, with over 90% rated excellent.

Most importantly, thank you. Steam Works wouldn’t exist without your support.

Perched on the terrace with stunning sea views and just a short stroll from the beach, it’s the perfect place to unwind and recharge. With the weather looking a little cooler this weekend, now’s the perfect time to warm up at Steam Works Bigbury. We’re open all day tomorrow and throughout the weekend — book online and come and see us!
And don’t forget, Steam Works now has a new sister sauna over at Hope Cove. Located at Hope Cove House, you can enjoy a relaxing drink on the terrace before or after your sauna, with the beach just a short stroll away.
