Tips to help change negative thinking.

Catch It: Notice when your mood drops or anxiety spikes, and isolate the exact thought driving the emotion.
Check It: Evaluate the thought objectively. Ask yourself: What actual evidence supports this? What would I tell a friend in this scenario?
Change It: Replace the distortion with a more realistic, objective, and neutral

Trauma changes how we see ourselves, others, and the world — but healing is absolutely possible.  Counselling offers a safe, steady space to explore what happened at your pace, without pressure or judgement.
In therapy, people often learn to: • understand their trauma responses • rebuild a sense of safety in their body • process memories gently and gradually • develop healthier coping strategies • reconnect with parts of themselves they thought were lost

How limiting beliefs show up in the body….

These beliefs create strategies/masks (identities) to try to create safety by maintaining connection to others, however abandoning ourselves in the meantime. This abandonment and externalisation of self worth and safety in our adult lives can lead to chronic illness and dysregulation of our nervous system.
