This includes our mental health programme designed for adults with learning disabilities and our wellbeing programme for siblings of disabled children

A huge thank you to Kate from Mini First Aid for providing such a fantastic First Aid Workshop to our My Time Sibling Group.

We learnt about CPR, the recovery position, bleeds, broken bones and so much more.

The session was very inclusive for all member of our group and everyone enjoyed learning together.

As part of our My Time Passports we have committed to an annual first aid course.

Today was our final Grief and Loss session at Cerebral Palsy Midlands. we discussed keeping safe online and ways to look after ourselves. We had some interesting conversations about the importance of self care and we enjoyed some cake.

It’s been a wonderful 5 weeks and we received some lovely feedback from group members commenting the positive impact the course has had.

We are looking forward to delivering the course at Mencap in June.

Our sibling group had a great morning yesterday at Bowling followed by food and drinks.

Our next session will be at our Head Office and we will continue to complete challenges for our passport.

Today we delivered the 4th Grief and Me workshop at Cerebral Palsy Midlands

We discussed how we can provide support to others when they have experienced grief.

Next week is our final week and we will explore the importance of self care and celebrate completing the five week programme.

We celebrated the end of our Safe Steps 10 week programme with a picnic in the garden. It was lovely to celebrate the end of the programme and to spend time together outdoors.

We are already making plans for our next programmes including Safeguarding Champions, This is Us and Positive Pottery.

We had a lovely evening at our My Time session. Thank you to Birmingham Community Boxing Project for providing a fun boxing session. We ended the evening exploring the outdoors ❤️

Today we delivered the third Grief and Me workshop at Cerebral Palsy Midlands

We discussed what happens when someone dies including funeral arrangements and wills. We agreed that that some conversations felt really difficult but also how important they were.

It was beautiful to see participants supporting each other. Next week we will explore how we can have supportive conversations with others who may be experiencing grief or loss.

Today we delivered Safeguarding Children and Adults training to Newbigin Community Trust. This is our third year delivering their annual training.

As usual it was a pleasure to meet such a great group of staff and volunteers who provide such a fantastic service to their local community.

We will be returning in July to provide some more specialist training to their Designated Safeguarding Leads.

Today we delivered the second Grief and Me workshop at Cerebral Palsy Midlands

We discussed what grief and loss is, what it might feel and look like. Importantly we explored how grief and loss is individual and there is no right or wrong way to grieve.
