A project in North Birmingham is changing lives for expectant mothers and their babies. Funded by the local NHS Fairer Futures Fund, this community-led initiative is stepping in early to support women with high-risk pregnancies from as early as six weeks, right through to their baby's first birthday.

Led by Witton Lodge Community Association and delivered by Spurgeons , the project is all about wrapping support around families when they need it most and tackling big health risks like smoking and diabetes, and sharing vital advice on breastfeeding and safe sleep.

Eid Mubarak to all our Muslim colleagues, partners and communities celebrating Eid al-Adha this week.

Eid al-Adha is a time of compassion, generosity, faith, community and support for those most in need, and a reminder of the importance of unity, resilience and kindness towards one another.

Across the NHS, these values are reflected every day in the way colleagues care for patients, support communities and look after one another.

We hope Eid brings peace, reflection, strength and joyful moments with loved ones.
