Riska spends much of the story trying to hold together a marriage that is already collapsing. Her husband repeatedly deceives her, hides important parts of his life, and becomes entangled with another woman. Every time Riska thinks she has uncovered the full truth, another betrayal surfaces.
What makes the series upsetting is that Riska keeps investing emotional energy, forgiveness, and hope into a relationship that continues to hurt her. The lies spread beyond the couple and begin affecting family members and people around them. Instead of a quick revelation and resolution, the show drags the audience through cycles of broken trust, manipulation, jealousy, humiliation, and emotional suffering.
By the later episodes, the focus is less on romance and more on the damage caused by selfish choices and dishonesty. The central feeling is watching someone who deserves better repeatedly discover that the person she loves has been taking advantage of her loyalty. Even when truths finally emerge, they don’t erase the harm that’s already been done, which gives the story a fairly bleak emotional tone.
