False. đź”´

Multivitamins can help support your intake, but they do not replace the benefits of a balanced diet. Whole foods provide a mix of nutrients, fibre, protein and other important compounds that supplements alone cannot fully copy.

The NHS Eatwell Guide recommends eating a variety of foods from the main food groups to support a healthy, balanced diet. Some supplements may still be useful for certain people, such as vitamin D during autumn and winter in the UK.

Think of multivitamins as support, not a substitute.

A quick reminder for men: looking after your health does not need to be complicated.

Simple checks like blood pressure, cholesterol, type 2 diabetes risk, and regular testicular self-exams can help you stay more aware of your health and spot changes earlier.

Many health conditions, such as high blood pressure and high cholesterol, may not cause obvious symptoms, so routine checks are important. NHS Health Checks are available for eligible adults aged 40 to 74 and can help assess your risk of conditions including heart disease, stroke, kidney disease and type 2 diabetes. Testicular self-checks are also recommended regularly, around once a month.

If you notice any unusual changes, symptoms, or you are unsure which checks are right for you, speak to your GP or a healthcare professional.

Pollen doesn’t only stay outdoors. It can easily make its way into your home on clothes, shoes and even your pets. 🌿

Small changes like changing after being outside, wiping your pet’s paws and keeping windows closed when pollen levels are high may help reduce the amount brought indoors.

Save these tips for pollen season and share them with someone who struggles with hay fever.

That burning feeling after dinner? It might be what's on your plate.

Acid reflux can be triggered by everyday foods and drinks, often the ones we don't think twice about. Common culprits include:
Fried food, spicy food, fizzy drinks, chocolate, tea, garlic, alcohol, greasy food, and onions
If you get heartburn regularly, cutting back on these can make a real difference. Everyone's triggers are different, so it's worth keeping track of what affects you personally.
Struggling with ongoing symptoms? Speak to your pharmacist or GP for advice and treatment options.

Small changes can help you stay within safer drinking limits.

UK guidance recommends drinking no more than 14 units a week, spread across 3 or more days if you do drink regularly.

Planning alcohol-free days, setting a limit before going out, and swapping some drinks for alcohol-free options can all help reduce your intake.

If alcohol is affecting your health, mood, relationships or daily routine, speak to a healthcare professional for support.

Healthy weight loss meals do not need to be boring or complicated.

Building your meals around lean protein, vegetables, fibre-rich carbohydrates and healthy fats can help you feel fuller for longer and support a balanced diet.

Try simple options like chicken rice bowls, lean mince wraps, tuna jacket potatoes or salmon with vegetables and new potatoes.

Small, consistent changes can make healthy eating easier to stick to.

Weight loss progress can slow down over time, and it doesn’t always mean you’re doing something wrong.

As your body changes, it may need fewer calories than before. Portion sizes, snacks, stress, poor sleep and changes in activity can also affect progress.

Try reviewing your habits, focusing on consistency, and looking beyond the scales, especially if you’re building muscle.

If you’re unsure why your progress has slowed, speak to a healthcare professional for personalised advice.

Feeling tired all the time isn’t always just down to sleep.

Stress, dehydration, low iron, poor sleep habits or an underlying health condition can all play a part.

If tiredness continues for several weeks, speak to a healthcare professional for advice.
