“New year, new year” seems to be everywhere right now… and honestly, I’m finding it a little overwhelming.
December flew by in a blur. Having my girl home from uni in America for a whole month meant everything to me – I enjoyed spending time with family and friends, being fully present and taking a step back from social media for a while.
Last weekend we took her back to the airport, so many emotions……..knowing the house will feel quiet again, knowing we won’t see her until October when we fly out to visit, losing my gym partner (we are so competitive!) – it’s a lot. But at the same time, my heart is full knowing she’s heading back to her friends and the beautiful chaos of uni life 🫶🏼💜
A wise soul in the gym, Reg, said to me today:
“Be proud you’ve given your girl roots and wings.”
That really resonated with me 🫶🏼💜
So this week I’m gently finding my way back into routine, being kind to myself, and building small habits that help me feel better – physically and mentally.
Here’s to a slow, soft start to 2026. Sending so much love to anyone who needs it right now 🫶🏼💜
