Do you know what pepitas are?

They're the seeds from the pumpkin. If you're vegan or vegetarian, it's a good idea to add these to your diet from time to time, as they're a great source of zinc.

Zinc is important for hormone production, good for skin health & a healthy immune system, plus for fertility - so gentlemen, if you're looking for stud status - this is the gem to eat!

Did you know that in Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Shu-Stream points on your body are used for supporting chronic conditions, like joint pain, and for increasing the available energy in your organs?

LU9 point (acupressure point on your wrist) is called The Great Abyss.
HT7 point (acupressure point on the other side of the wrist to LU9) is called The Spirit Gate, and
SP3 point (acupressure point on your foot) is near The Bubbling Spring.

If you go through the Great Abyss, then through the Spirit Gate to find the Bubbling Spring, what's that telling you about your journey to reclaim your health & vitality?

Happy Bank Holiday!
With such a scorcher of a day, there's only one post for today:

10 tips to stay cool:
1. Get a small spray bottle, fill it with cold water & a couple of drops of peppermint essential oil (or tea tree if allergic to mint). Mist your face, wrists & back of your neck.
2. Drink 2-3 litres of water a day.
3. Close windows & curtains during the day.
4. Cool off with a cool (not cold) shower or bath if you overheat.
5. Place a bowl of ice in front of your fan for extra coolness.
6. Stay out of the hottest sun times - shade is best.
7. Sleep in cooler areas of your home - downstairs is best.
8. Eat light meals with high water content.
9. Wear light, loose fitting clothing.
10. If you don't have a spray available, use a cold flannel on the back of your neck.

Last week, I we started looking at tasks 1 & 2 for analysing how relaxing your home is. If you remember, I said your home should be a haven & not add to the stress of the day.

Task 3 (and the final one): Start with the room that's causing the most anxiety or stress, and start decluttering or moving things to different rooms. Then move to the next room & so forth.

For example, if you have a TV, your mobile, & and your home office in your bedroom, your sleep is going to be disturbed because bedrooms are for sleeping in.

Come on, fess up, how many times have you missed your bedtime because you were "just finishing" something on your electronics or were distracted?
