Late-Summer South Coast Sunshine ☀️

As the nights begin to draw in and the intense heat softens its touch, I’m turning my attention to autumn and how I can continue to move forwards with momentum while embracing the natural winding-down of the year.

I’m having lots of ideas and interesting chats about how I can evolve my business mindfully and intentionally (as I can easily get swept up with enthusiasm and take on too much! 🙈).

I am learning and up-skilling while developing my existing knowledge and practice, and am looking forward to some exciting collaborations in the coming months with some brilliant Sussex-based practitioners.

Getting a small business off the ground is enormously rewarding — but let’s be honest, it’s hard work.

It isn’t always as simple as quitting your day job and “going for it” when there are bills to pay. For me, building my business means juggling three jobs alongside being a step-mum, dog-mum, wife… and allotment enthusiast (where I can happily lose hours! 🌿).

Life is busy, and finding dedicated time to grow a business can be a real challenge — even when you absolutely love what you do.

Dr Gladys McGarey encouraged us to “find our juice” — that thing that gives us energy, purpose and keeps us moving forward. I’m incredibly fortunate that the different parts of my life all connect to mine: supporting and helping other people.

That’s what lights my spark. ✨ And it’s what keeps me going when the light feels a little harder to find.

At the moment, balancing my business with my other jobs means I can only see clients during evenings and weekends. As demand grows consistently, I’ll be able to free up more time and offer greater flexibility with appointments.

And that’s the catch-22: I need the demand to create the time, but I need the time to create the capacity!

So, thank you for bearing with me while I make myself available whenever I possibly can. Every appointment, recommendation, share and follow helps me move one step closer to the dream: being able to dedicate more of my time to holistic practice and helping the people who need it. 💚
