NEW LOCATION ALERT📍

em treatments will now be performing treatments half Thursdays and every other Sunday at TFD gym in Wantage. If demand is there this will be increasing. TFD is a family run, independent community built business. There are a range of facilities on site dedicated to improving your overall health, wellbeing and fitness. I’m excited to be able to be in an environment where health is a priority.

Why did I get into facials & skincare?

Well truthfully, I used to suffer with terrible hormonal acne, and it really affected my confidence.

I tried medical creams, oral antibiotics and so many different things, almost roaccutane but nothing really shifted until I changed my approach and started educating myself about my skin.

And I know I’m not alone in that.

Sometimes you can be doing everything you think you should be doing and still not have the skin you want. There can be an underlying cause, a trigger, or simply a combination of things that your skin doesn’t agree with.

Mine was hormonal, but stress and lifestyle played a part too. I remember feeling embarrassed leaving the house without makeup. My skin could be sore, itchy and uncomfortable, and honestly, I just didn’t feel like myself.

I think that’s one of the biggest reasons I wanted to get into this industry.

Because I understand.

I get it.

I know what it feels like when your skin knocks your confidence, and I wanted to create a space where you can talk about your skin without feeling judged or intimidated.

For me, skincare isn’t just about how your skin looks. It’s about understanding why it’s behaving the way it is, finding an approach that works for you, and feeling confident in your own skin again.

That’s exactly what I want to bring into every treatment.

One thing I thought was missing from the industry was the ability to achieve both in one facial? Because why can’t you have micro-needling in a calm and relaxing environment? Why does it have to be on a cold clinical bed? Why can’t you drift off whilst having a dermaplaning facial!

After 10 years in Bournemouth, it’s finally time for our next chapter… 🥹

This town became home in ways I never expected. It gave me my career, my confidence, lifelong memories, my first little flat by the sea, and most importantly…it’s where I became a mum.

To every single client who has supported me over the years, trusted me, recommended me, stayed loyal, chatted with me through appointments, and helped my little business grow… thank you will never feel enough. You’ve all been such a huge part of this journey.

Appointments in Bournemouth will continue as normal until 20th June, after which we will officially be closing down the Bournemouth clinic.

Although we’re moving to Wantage, Oxfordshire, this isn’t goodbye forever. I’m hoping to arrange Bournemouth pop-up clinic days potentially every month, so I can still see as many of my regulars as possible 🤍

Bournemouth will always hold such a special place in my heart, and I honestly don’t think I’ll ever be able to fully put into words what these last 10 years have meant to me.

An insight into a consultation with me✨

No appointment is exactly the same, it’s all tailored to you and your needs.

I will ask questions to find out about your skincare /lifestyle/ concerns. I will perform a detailed analysis looking at marks, blemishes, congestion, trans-epidermal water loss, elasticity, barrier function and more.

You should have a better understanding of your skin by the end of the appointment & what I can support with moving forward. After your appointment you will receive a write up on findings and a tailored skincare plan and appointment plan.

Consultations are £40 and redeemable against treatment chosen on the day. You can have a consultation and choose an appointment another day if you so wish, during this consultation you will still get a cleanse so I can fully see your skin underneath any product build up.

Dehydration doesn’t just make skin feel tight…it makes fine lines look deeper.

When the skin lacks water, cells lose volume and the surface contracts, which exaggerates texture and causes fine lines to appear more visible. Increased transepidermal water loss (TEWL) weakens the barrier, reduces elasticity, and impairs smooth light reflection so skin looks more lined, dull and tired.

Over-cleansing and aggressive exfoliation strip the barrier, increase water loss, and worsen dehydration — even in skins that feel oily.

And here’s the one most people miss:

Many acne-prone clients are actually dehydrated, not “oily”, dehydration drives barrier dysfunction, inflammation, excess sebum compensation, and congestion.

Dry ≠ Dehydrated.

One is oil deficiency.

One is water deficiency.

They require different treatment strategies.

If your skin feels tight, dull, congested or lined but still produces oil, dehydration may be the root cause.
