Hi friends hope you are well, wherever you are.
Today, thousands of Shiva devotees are celebrating Maha Shivratri — the sacred night of Shiva and one of the most significant festivals in the Hindu calendar.
For me, Shiva represents the profound symbology of creating space. Through His form as Nataraja, the Cosmic Dancer, He stirs a whirlwind within the depths of our being, allowing what no longer serves our journey to be processed and released.
What remains is a field of stillness — a spaciousness where we can almost touch His presence, our own highest consciousness. It is the Shiva within us, the purusha that yogis speak of, the quiet strength of our inner masculine energy.
I invite you to take some time to be in your own presence — the part of you that is still, steady, and clear. Go for a walk, connect with nature, or play music that moves you to dance. And when the movement settles, simply sit and listen… listening to the rhythm of stillness.
Today I have been going through the dance sequence that I am sharing at Clayton Village Hall next Sunday (22nd Feb), refining the workshop content to give a nurturing yet energising experience to the participants.
There are a few more spaces open for those of you who would like to join this workshop and experience an amazing morning.

Hi everyone hope you are well.

I find these dark, damp days of the Kapha season (Jan and Feb) quite depressing, which means I need to be more conscious of really taking the time to do more of the things I enjoy and are upliftingly energetic yet at the same time something that truly natures me.
Those of you who have been my facebook friends/followers for a while know that I love Dru Yoga Dance, "poetry in motion" and I have shared my passion at many workshops throughout the years.
The reason why I love Dru Yoga Dance is that every dance sequence allows me to express myself in a way that seems to ignite a fire of strength and wisdom from the depths of who I truly am, like from a soul level. It feels like my soul danced before, in some distant journey of this soul.
What make Dru Yoga Dance particularly potent for me is the power of the symbolic story of each dance, and how each story is expressed through a playful synergy of strong and powerfully subtle movements to enable prana lifeforce to flow with ease and steadiness.

How are you feeling at the moment and what do you do to bring yourself back into a state of balance; where you are feeling energised yet empoweringly steady and calm?

I'm currently preparing for a workshop in which I am planning to share an amazing experience of exploring a Dru Yoga sequence, "Bliss from Within". The sequence gives the opportunity to really experience the essence of "Dru/Dhruva", the stillness of the "North Star", through this interplay of strong, fast yoga movements, and moments of balance and focus. The sequence has many hasta (hand) mudras which create energetic circuits to effect the flow of prana and consequently enhance the revitalising yet calming effect on both the body and mind. To seal the benefits of the sequence we'll end the session with a beautiful relaxation.
If you are interested and are open to experience this, please join me and others on Sunday 22nd February, details below.

Take care

Hi all.
Hope you're well

I've just been planning for my set yoga classes I'm teaching through the Dru online platform, which I'm really looking forward to.
I've decided to explore the Sun Salutation (Suriya Namaskar)for 3 weekly classes using the concept of isometric and isotonic principles for muscle strengthening. Each class will become a little harder by including additional postures that will help to work on strengthening our body and mind. These sessions will start at 7pm until 8.15pm and therefore the aim is to work on increasing our agni, the fire element within us so that we feel more energised yet also include some relaxation and balancing breath work to enable a restful sleep.

I'm really looking forward to sharing these classes, so if you'd like to join me please click the link below. If you are unable to join me live, then recordings are available.

I just also wanted to show you the view outside my room here at Snowdonia Mountain Lodge.
Take care and enjoy 😉

Hi friends hope you are all well and taking care of yourselves.
I've just finished doing a beautiful Ayurvedic Yoga Massage treatment at the treatment room at "We Are Wellness" in Headingley. It's a great room spacious, its surrounded by trees and and has huge windows from which natural light comes through especially when it's a beautiful day as today.
Ayurvedic Yoga Massage is a synergy of massage and yoga stretches leaving the receiver feeling amazing.
Those of you who live local, if you or someone you know would like to experience this amazing therapy then please send me a message or email me ([email protected])
