It’s not really about the wax.

It’s about pouring a batch while the washing machine is beeping, getting in late after a stressful day at work, making plans and wishing you had cancelled, answering “Mum!” for the hundredth time that day, and mentally planning dinner at the same time.

It’s about finding little pockets of time between school runs, packed lunches, work emails, cleaning, providing, caring and the endless jobs that keep a home running.

Every wax melt I make carries a piece of real life with it. The late nights. The early mornings. The determination to build something of my own while still showing up for everyone else.

Most simply… my creative shed corner.

Anyone else feel like the weekend disappears in a blur of washing, cleaning, shopping, children’s activities, and trying to keep on top of everything? 🙋‍♀️

Before another busy week begins, I spent some time restocking my handmade wax melts and giving my garden shed and home a little refresh. It’s one of those jobs that feels productive but also gives me a chance to slow down for a while.

As mums, pet owners, partners, business owners, and the people everyone seems to rely on, we spend so much time looking after everyone else. Sometimes a simple thing like lighting a burner and filling the house with a fragrance you love can create a small moment of calm in an otherwise hectic day.

That’s exactly why I love making wax melts. They’re not just about making your home smell lovely; they’re about creating a cosy space where you can switch off for five minutes, sit down with a brew, and recharge.

I’ve been struggling.

Something I don’t really want to admit is that I haven’t enjoyed being in the shed recently. My creativity feels lost, my sparkle has dimmed, and I can’t seem to focus or motivate myself the way I normally do.

As a winter baby, these hot temperatures have been so far from enjoyable for me. I miss fairy lights, melting wax, getting covered in glitter, and losing myself in creating.

I’ve also seen a huge drop in orders and social media views, and if I’m honest, it’s knocked my confidence more than I’d like to admit. Lately, I’ve just felt… meh.

But I know seasons change — both outside and in ourselves. So I’m giving myself some grace, riding this wave, and trusting that the creativity, motivation, and sparkle will find their way back.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support my little wax melt business, whether that’s placing an order, liking a post, sharing my content, or simply sticking around while I find my footing again. ❤️

Your scent fading quickly? It might not be the wax — it could be your tealight ✨

Tealights typically last 2, 4, or 8 hours… and using the wrong one can affect how your wax melts perform.
• 2-hour tealights may not fully melt the wax, so you won’t get the full scent throw
• 8-hour tealights can burn too hot, which may cause the fragrance to fade faster

The sweet spot? A good quality 4-hour tealight 🕯️
It melts the wax evenly, releases the fragrance beautifully, and helps your scent last longer.

And while it’s melting… take that time for you.
Pause, breathe, reset — even just for a few minutes. That’s where the magic really is ✨

You’re not imagining it — it’s one of the most common frustrations with wax melts.

🚫 The problem:
Low-quality melts + the wrong setup = barely any scent

But here’s the truth… sometimes it’s not just the wax 👀

✅ Let’s fix it:

🕯️ Use high-quality, well-cured wax melts (like ours 😉)
🌬️ Keep your burner away from drafts (open windows, doors, fans)
🏠 Place your burner in the centre of the room for better scent throw
🔥 Use the right size burner & tealight (too small = weak scent)
⏳ Let the wax fully melt across the top (this releases the fragrance properly)

✨ Our melts are hand-poured with strong fragrance oils and cured for maximum scent throw — so you actually smell them.
