Each meeting will be made of 30 minutes exercise and 30 minutes nutrition and mindset work.

You will receive personalised diet recommendations, mindset worksheets and weekly workout videos to do in-between the Tuesday sessions.

YES YOU CAN!

Here at Balanced Bodies, we are all about manageable, bite-sized workouts to do when you can, because - we get it - life is busy!

That's why our Online Camp and Fitscription services are so popular - it's all about the quality of the workouts and the consistency, far more than the quantity.

Don't put that pressure on yourself to do a full hour's workout. Your body will thank you for a fiery fifteen, or an intense ten! Remember, all your efforts add up over time. Remember that mindset work we did a a few posts ago? Practicing improved responses?

Old you "I've missed my window, no point now..."
New you: "Right, I've got 15 mins. Let's do this!"

At Balanced Bods we're pretty confident that we can all find 15 minutes in the day to get that heartrate up. "Your mind is everything. What you think, you become."💚

A simple yet stunningly effective practice for you here this Monday morning!

Right...on to the theory...

If you lift enough weight consistently, your muscles will adapt and it will show. Fact.

The brain is a muscle. Fact.

If you practice positive thoughts and reactions (to replace your old negative ones), then over time, your brain will begin to think this way. It isn't easy and it certainly isn't 'natural' initially, but if you don't try...

For example:

💫Old Response: "Urgh, I don't have enough time to train now!"
New Response: "I've got 15 minutes to train. I'll do a super intense session!"

💫Old Response: "OMG I've eaten so badly today! What the point?? I've fallen off the wagon. May as well get a take away!"
New Response: "Not the best day's eating today, but i was great until then and I'll be better tomorrow! No biggie in the grand scheme..."

💫Old Response: "What a sh*t day! I'm going to pick up loads of 'treats' from the shop on the way home!"
New Response: "What a sh*t day! I'm going to take back and smash out a 20 min workout as soon as i get back and then have a cheeky Gin Slim!"

To make weight loss stick, you really have to change your mindset because what do we alway say: "Where the mind goes, the body will follow....."

Do you and Mr Snacks hang out, a lot?? That's OK...

Snacking is allowed. Snacking is often needed. Snacking is NOT the enemy!

However, if you're snacking for any of the following reasons, then we've possibly stumbled across one of the reasons why your weight loss / maintenance isn't as it should be. Take a moment to consider the points below...

* You're stressed, not hungry
* Your main meals are insufficient in size and / or nutrients
* You are dehydrated, but it feels like hunger
* Boredom
* You're snacking on too much healthy food. Yes ,this is possible! Nuts are healthy but the are calorie dense, so any more than a handful may be too many.

The enemy is usually our perception of what snack food is and our relationship with it, and sometimes hunger can be over-whelming! The key to weight loss is CONTROLLING this hunger and snacking with the good stuff.

Make sure you limit the stock of sugary snacks in the cupboard and have to hand some healthy, easy snacks - so when hunger strikes you are fully prepared! Here are some examples of good snacking foods -

1. A handful of raw nuts (not salty peanuts)
2. Rice cakes with peanut butter
3. A good old banana
4. Protein shake
5. Fresh fruit smoothie
6. Greek yoghurt with fruit
7. Jerky
8. Crudites with hummus/guacomole/cottage cheese
9. Eggs
10. Popcorn (homemade with cinnamon)

BRAIN-TRAINING really is at the HEART of Balanced Bodies (ironically!)

Here is a little video of BBWC Founder, A-PT, Anna Reich: Personal Trainer and Media Fitness Expert UK, talking about how crucial practising positivity in your lives is when you are trying to lose weight - you need to get your brain on side in order to maintain healthy, happy habits!

We know it can be unfamiliar territory for some of you... but push on and try. Don't succumb to those old, no good, negative thoughts and reactions to (totally human) imperfections.

Just as doing your squats regularly for a month will lead to a perkier derriere... Practise positive thoughts and your brain will become perkier too!
